  1. WOW!!! Your smile says it all! You look wonderful.
  2. Wow, You do not even look like the same person. Amazing!!!!
  3. OH MY !!! What a transformation and only 5 months!!! You look ten years younger than your profile pic and I thought that was a great pic lol. You look like you are in your 20's.
  4. My heart goes out to you. How hard it must be to be so aware of your situation, trying to improve it and have others live the extreme opposite, especially while dealing with recently being sleeved. A few things, 1) You seem to be quite young, thank God that you did not get caught up in this for the rest of your life. You are stopping that chain , that life cycle of dysfunction. Many of us have families living in these same situations. I am 47 years old and wish I stopped abusing myself long ago with food. My father died of obesity related illnesses and all his siblings. I was right there with them for years. So give yourself some credit, you are doing something for them. Be an example. Be loving to them but make good choices for you. You can not change them, and it sounds like they don't want to change. 2) I hope you understand how this relates.... Three of my siblings died of drug related incidents. I really was bitter with them for some time, without even realizing it. I did not understand it, I was so bothered by seeing my sister wither into a shell of who she was. I was a lot younger and very impressionable. I was experimenting with things I shouldn't of been also yet I made different choices and by the grace of God had the will to stop. My point is this...I now look at there lifestyles as a lesson to me. When they died like that it was not in vane. Do you understand? I might not always no what I want but I sure no what I don't want. I did not want to go out like that. Looking at them in this perspective, allows me to live free of that lifestyle. They showed me very well what I did not want to end up like. Your family is actually showing you something very powerful. I know you want to save them and it hurts terribly but you can't honey. Don't be angry with them, it will eat you up. Love you Mama while she is here. Show your sister how she can recover. Pray!!!! -Sorry to go on and on....
  5. P.S. Sanabel Island is awesome, what a beautiful place to live!!!!
  6. Love your post!!!!! You go and you what is right for you. That is another reason why I did not share with friends. I rather concentrate on my journey, a posivtive one than those who disagree. Enjoy the ride God Bless!!
  7. Plese take to heart what others before me said. Please see that for what it is. I was there before, many years ago, people like that do not generally change. Your weight loss is going to inpower you in ways you do not even see now. I am at my biggest now and my husband would never thnk of ever being that hateful. He might ask me to get out of the boat and help push but never degrade me. Personnally I would make the kids get out and push Mama off the flat...lol. Bless you lady. You are very very valuable!!!
  8. What a wonderful job you are doing. Very inspiring!!!1

Guess I have not been around here long enough. This is the first time I experienced this loss of comradery. Hope she comes back soon!!!
  10. Just wondering, how many of you did no exercise pre surgery and now exercise? How many did none and still don't? How many hated excericising and now enjoy it, ect? I am really hoping the reason I do not like it (pre op) is because I am so large it is so painful. A comment will be much appreciated.
  11. Very Inspiring!!! Keep up the good work.
  12. I am not sleeved yet but... I think you look amazing! You look so much better than in the other pics. Slow and steady. You know where you can change things to get there, if you really want to get there. I know you do want to. Keep your head in the game. I pray your over being ill so you can focus on doing the best you can do.
  13. Praying!
  14. That is so awesome and inspiring! Congrats!!!!
  15. Godspeed..... prayers your way!!!!!

Has anyone heard from KELLY L.? I miss her around here. I noticed she has not been on since a day after Christmas, which is unlike her. Hopefully all is well and she is enjoying a great vacation somewhere.
  19. I looked on the link you gave and what I noticed was the info they gave for Gastric Sleeve and Sleeve plication mixed up. I am sure just a mix up but for those who are new to WLS might think one sleeve is one thing when actually it is another. They say when describing being sleeved that they fold the stomach and staple when actually that is plication. I am not saying anything aboutt the surgeon, I am sure he is wonderful, just a mix up on his website..
  20. Good Question.... I am not for sure but this might be a question you can ask Little Miss Diva . I believe she might be able to answer it or know someone that will.
  21. You answered your own question with the first post "all the glory to God" that is why...lol Congrats and enjoy the ride
  22. Thank you for posting and I pray you heal quickly and enjoy the rest of your journey til goal, all down hill from here:)
  23. Praying for you and thank you for your post.
  24. Wow! Do you realize you are already 1/5 of the way there, that is amazing!!! One day you will just really see it!! Congrats!!!! I can not wait to be sleeved!!!!!!!
  25. Did you have complications or major struggles after being sleeved or not? I am wondering what is the norm. I hear some say "it was a cake walk" and others say "please help" I realize we are all different, just wondering?
