46lbs Down And They Didn't Notice?
I feel the same for the most part. I do not like attention like that. Not if I am losing or gaining. You look nice works just fine for me. I have a lot of immature back stabbing women at my job and cringe thinking about after I am sleeved. I have not and will not say a word. A year or two ago I lost about 40 plus pounds and this gal, who is a big girl became very mean and hateful. Since I have gained it back she is nice again. I truly want to lose to be healthy, tie my shoes, run with my kids, sit on my husband's lap, ect. I dread the attention. I am not shy but it makes me feel very uncomfortable and anxious.

Just A Word Of Caution
Thank you so much for sharing that. I can see how easy it is to not drink when you are busy with life. This is the time to focus on you. I could so easily do the same thing after I am sleeved, now I am more aware of that. thanks again!!

Loosing Hope
My heart goes out to you and your situation. Due to the fact that you rely on prayer then hopefully it will give you comfort to know that it is in God's timing when this will work out. You do not see it now but there is a reason, and it is a good one why it has not happened yet. One day you will not only be blessed with the perfect right time to be sleeved but also understand why it is then and not now. Those words are meant to comfort you. Rely on your faith foremost!!! Your husband is scared, that is the real issue, you do not need that right now, but reconize what it is, It truly isn't opposition, it just feels like it right now. I see it that he loves you a whole bunch. Just wondering,... could you turn that vacation time into $'s and save up for MX. There are some great Dr. down there that have tons of experience, some way more than in the states. If that is even a consideration, be VERY choosy!!! Do not go on price alone. I myself have not been sleeved yet, finances fell through a month or so ago and everything seemed to turn against me getting sleeved. I now honestly see how much better off I am for that happening. It was disheartning and I cried for days but now I am so much better off. I should be sleeved here in the next couple of months. I can not wait!!! One more thing, you said something that was key ... STAY POSITIVE, EVEN IF IT LOOKS BLEEK, that is the only way and fastest way to make it happen. A good attitude, especially dealing with red tape goes a lot further than being negitive. I would want to push someones paperwork through that was sweet, even go the extra mile, verses someone agrravated and hostile. God Bless you Sleeve Sister, I am praying for you right now!!!!

Nervous About Talking To My Pcp About Weight Loss Surgery
I spoke with my pcp, who is an older gentlemen, very very old school. I mentioned it to him and he said Oh no, you just need to eat one big salad a day, you have to lose 100 lbs but if you just eat one time a day and make it a big salad it will fall off" well....... looking into a new pcp, lol

So Many Tests In The States, Not So Many In Mx
So many that are sleeved in the US have to go through so many tests before being approved for surgery. How is it that so many just fly off to MX and in 24 hours are sleeved? I plan on going to MX, I have done a lot of research and also have chosen a qualified surgeon (not based on $).I planned on being sleeved in Jan. but finances have pushed the date back. Before, my date was pushed back I went to the doctors and had blood work drawn and a physical. Everything was normal except my weight of course, 95 lbs to lose. I did that to have a comparitve point of reference. Since then,15 lbs have crept on, suddenly I ache all over , ankles swell, I just feel really rough. Maybe it is because I am more aware but now, everything hurts more. It is strange like these last 15 lbs put me somewhere I have never experienced before, besides the fact my wedding rings no longer fit . I wonder now if I go to MX in the near future, will I be turned down? More than that I wonder, what if I have heart issues, or diabetes or something else that did not show up, will they be aware even if I am not? I have never seen on here where someone went to MX and they were turned down for surgery. Does everyone pass through? I am concerned with risky surgery, wasted airfare, time off from work, losing my hard earned deposit. I do not have insurance. More dr. and bloodwork is soo expensive, am I over reacting? sorry to ramble. thanks for any input .

What Is Your Favorite Meal After Being Gastric Sleeved?
Thank you. I still have a hard time imagining you can eat ribs or spicy sauce like salsa after being sleeved. (I am not there yet) . Some foods frighten me to think about like popcorn and I love that now!

What Is Your Favorite Meal After Being Gastric Sleeved?
What is you favorite food since being sleeved? Do you crave the same foods as you did before surgery? I am a creature of habit eater. I wonder if that will change. I can eat the same cereal , sandwich everyday for a year, wouldn't bother me.

To Tell Or Not To Tell About Gastric Sleeve Surgery ?
I have not been sleeved but decided long ago to only share it with my husband until after surgery. Maybe afterwards I will feel differently but I did not need to worry about what others thought. I needed to focus on the changes and embrace them. Until then......... Hope this helps. Also, congrats on your decision, It gave me hope when I lost all of mine.

How can I control my pride?
You are honoring God by making light of where you are at.. my point is by you realizing this and not wanting to become vane, that is not pride that is accomplishment. Big difference. Remember to stay humble and know that it is a gift, not to be taking lightly. You look awesome. I can not wait to be sleeved!!!! Congrats!
