I want to cut my hair and I want Shirley Temple hair also! That wont happen to me though. I am throwing the idea back and forth about cutting my hair but I am such a creator of habit, I think the sleeve is enough for me right now. Congrats. You sound like a fly by the seat kind of girl, I admire that.
  3. I will be sleeved on Feb. 4th. I am almost afraid to say this, fearing it will change. I started the liquid diet on Jan 21st. It was tough for a few days,I even had a meltdown and wodered how I was going to do this. Then something just clicked and I am not even hungry at all. I keep hydrated and get in my protien. It has been a cakewalk since Mon. I am feeling a little cloudy like I drank a glass of wine. I also work at a restaurant and can not believe how easy it has been. I notice I do get stressed easier. I am usaually pretty laid back. Prayer works !!!!
  4. My sleeve sister is going alone, but not anymore. I will be there!!! My husband is going and he will also help if she needs anything. Your not crazy but it is not a bad idea to start a post and see if anyone is going there to the same Dr. on the same day as you. Or better yet, get a hold of your coordinator and ask her if there is anyone. It is just a buddy, not responsibility. Sharing the experience. Best of Lick to you.
  5. I will be sleeved with Dr. Kelly on Feb 4th, Trish is my coordinator. I totally believe I made the right choice with booking with her. She will walk you through every step! I can not wait!!!
  6. That is great news!!! Looking forward to hearing about your progress!
  7. thank you!! Is it a vitamin or what?
  8. I am so sorry. I have no advice, not quite sleeved yet but know someone is praying for you right now!!!

  11. Praying for you, Godspeed to your good health!!!!
  12. Thank you so much!!! I am very excited. Maybe in a months I will be up for that jazz class lol.
  13. Yep, I started mine12 days left.
  14. Do you write down everything you eat, maybe it is effecting you a day or so later, lactose intolerent, a new allergy to a food, etc. Someone on here said they used a draft to show their weight loss, so now they recognise by a pattern, when they go into a stall. With that being said, if you notice every couple of weeks a different type of pattern, what is happening to you, maybe if you track everything you consume maybe then you might be able to narrow down what is happening. If you do track everything already then go back and look and see what might stand out. Be prapared and take that info to your Dr.
  15. You seem to have a very healthy attitude. I believe you are in a great place right now. You know the saying it always look greener.... or you want what you can't have well.... you might have lubs around the middle, and you are not perfect , who is? Live in the moment, enjoy where you are at. Also , to your benefit remember that men generally get better looking with age, not so true with women. Maybe all would not agree but I beleive but I have witnessed that. I must say (and know I am not coming on to you lol) you are a handsome guy, I also think these ladies would agree and say since you are sharing so much I think that you should share a full body shot pics. You sure got my curiosity up. Relish the moment and live in it, Let everyone revel in your progress lol....
  16. Already started, tough but I can do this AND this to will pass!!! lol
  17. I will be sleeved on Feb 4th, so truly I do not know what it feels like. I have had other surgeries and have worried and complained afterwords about the pain. I also stressed myself before hand. I noticed though reading others experiences that it is vital to keep a positve outlook. I know that it is natural to experience "buyers remorse" but overall, I beleive it is imparitive at this stage, for me, to go in this with feelings of "I can do this, yes, I will work through the pain I will have a few months of major discomfort but this to shall pass". I have been the other patient that was, this is terrible, this sucks , I can not handle this and It only made it worse. These days if I wander into fear, I fill my head with , I can not wait to sit on my husband's lap again, I want to run, I want to paint my own toes again. I want to live free of my "CAN NOTS" I want to embraced every minute of it!!!!! Even the pain of getting there. I believe that sometimes, the hard times attitude might just be everything!!!! Just saying....
  18. Congrats on being sleeved. Please continue with posting, I will be sleeved on Feb 4th and would love to hear about how you are doing. Also, what struck me about your post was it sounded so positive. I beleive that is what makes a big difference in ones recovery. Your going to do wonderful!!!
  19. I am so excited for you. I will be sleeved on the 4th of Feb. so now when I hear of someone being sleeved on here or just sleeved , it's almost like I get a little feeling of living it. God Bless you and I pray for a easy and fast recovery!!! Be sure to let us know how you do.

I am pre sleeve but I was told to always weigh in the a m when I have nothing, including liquids in my stomach. Just think one gallon of milk weighs like eight lbs. So if you are drinking water or something else and then weighing your self that counts. If you know you are doing what is right it is just a mind/scale thing getting to you.
