  1. My dad stayed in the hotel! There was lots of staff in the hospital, and my dad basically stayed there until visiting hours were open and closed. This gave me some time to work in my walking and breathing exercises and sleep!
  2. Agree! All soups were good... Campbell's regular and chunky, I also did wonton one night! It was awesome!
  3. Hey guys, thanks so much for the support! I have been trying to be more positive and drink even more water, and today I saw a three lb loss since last time! Keeping positive is the key!!
  4. Hey all! I was sleeved 12/13, and am close to 4 weeks out! The hardest part so far is sticking to my post op guidelines! I am feeling AMAZING and because of that have progressed to full liquids and pureeds a bit faster than my facilitating company wants me to, but a bit slower than my surgeons guidelines so it's ok! The best part has been the 20 lbs that will be gone forever! I get disheartened sometimes because I feel like it should be more, but I just need to check myself and be proud! Like I said, recovery is amazing. No pain, no food I tolerances, no weakness, my scars Re so good too! Feeling awesome.
  5. I waited a week! But you need to feel ready.
  6. You should follow your surgeons diet, but yes, I progressed a bit earlier too. I did 6 days clears, a little more than a week full fluids, and now I'm on fulls/soft foods. I am starting my 4th week. My docs wanted me to wait for 2 weeks on clears (couldn't do it), 2 weeks fulls, 2 weeks pureeds, and 2 mushies.
  7. Have had a really rough couple of days here with life, and have avoided stepping on the scale in over a week because I was stalling like 2weeks out. Today I stepped on the scale and I was only down.... 2 more lbs. I have only lost 12 lbs post op, 22 if you count my pre op. I am so disappointed that I've only lost 13 post sleeve lbs and I'm starting on my 4th week. I know I don't have a ton to lose, but I feel like any diet I've ever done has peeled the weight off faster than this. I know this is a whole new life but I'm still bummed. I just need to kow that there were other people like this and that I'm not going to be the one person this surgery doesn't work for.
  8. Mmmm, was getting desperate for something besides tomato soup, so for New Years the hubby and I ordered Chinese. I threw the delux wonton in my magic bullet and it puréed so well! I recommend it for anyone looking to get some new flavours during their puréed stage!
  9. I haven't had any issues, and my doc and her daughter are both still on it! Apparently its hard to regulate birth control tests in the US.
  10. I am on the YAZ with only 4 days off - I love it! No mood swings, no weight gain, super light periods.
  11. So glad to hear you're okay!
  12. I'm so sorry this is happening to you! Get to the ER and have that looked at. If I were you, I would definitely be complaining to you surgeon about the fact that they Left your drainage tube in for you to take care of yourself! Get better soon!
  13. I hit a 1.5 week stall, and am now not weighing myself for a couple weeks! I only had now week pre op, and lost 10 lbs, so that explains a lot. Thanks for posting!
  14. I'm only 3.5weeks out, and have noticed no hair loss, but it does feel way drier than usual!
  15. I have made that dip before- its the best! You should try the hungry girl squash potstickers... Mmmmm! Thanks for sharing
  16. It's not related to WLS speciically, more weight loss specifically, but read Gary Taubes book "Good Calories, Bad Calries". It'll change your life in regards to carbs!
  17. Hey! We are sleeve sisters! I was sleeved on Dec 13th too! Ow are the Muslims going down for you? Did you figure out what to have? Dd your surgeon or nutritionist let you know?
  18. Whoa! Hold up. Think of what your body has just went through! You had 85% of your stomach chopped out, 5 holes poked in you, our tummy pulled out through one of those holes, anesthesia and IVs! PLUS your body has also dropped 20 lbs! That is a lot for a body to go through! It needs it's swollen insides to heal, and catch up with all the trauma it's been through. 20 lbs is a lot! Think of how long that would have taken you on Weight Watchers or any other plan! I am in the same bot as you, my surgery was on the 13th and I am down 19, and haven moved on the scale for 6 days. It'll happen! Let your body adjust. You are taking in too little cals not to lose!
  19. A quarter of a lb? That could be water, meds, time of the month, anything! don't be discouraged!
  20. Hey guys! What does everyone count as a part of their daily water intake? Just straight up water or do you count you water based protein shakes, milk, milk based protein shakes and broths? I hit a stall 2 weeks out, so I am curious if I need to switch some stuff up!
  21. I had surgery on 12/13, an I would not consider eating at this point even afte chewing tons. My doc has me on 2 weeks clears, 2 week fulls, 2 weeks, pureeds, 2 weeks mushies, but I am going a tiny bit faster than that. Just be careful hun!
  22. Wouldn't these recipes count more as "pureed" foods rather than full liquids? My surgeon said my full liquids can include only liquids that can be strained. I have been living on water, milky things and tomato soup!
