  3. Great stuff, you can add it to any liquid!
  4. The band was never designed to work alone. You have to work with eat. New lifestyle, new eating habits, and new exercise habits. The band is just a tool. Congratulations on getting more exercise.
  5. The brain is the last to get the message. It will come. As long as you are losing weight and/or inches, be happy! The system is working with you to get you to your goal! The head will catch up!

  8. No reason for nerves... You have come so far already. You can do this. Waiting is hard, but soon you will be banded. Go Girls!
  9. The important part is the monitored diet. Don't sweat a few pounds up or down.
  10. I agree... call in and talk to the doctor. Port is not directly connected to eating!
  11. Do whatever your surgeon and nutritionist tell you. Every practice is different. It is also important to ask how much liquid you should get in addition to the liquids from protein.
  12. I would have asked about things to do to keep the bowels moving. Big problem for me. It took 16 months to get the right combo down!
  13. Best wishes to you both. THink positive!
  14. We need to get you together with scared and nervous! LOL. Best wishes to you on your journey. Keep the positive outlook and you will do great!

  16. Missy... you have had everything girl. But still you hang in there!
  17. Sounds like a good plan until you get comfortable eating again I would not add any more to the band.
  18. Tell them it is OK if they eat. I went out to lunch with my friends every week after surgery. Sometimes I just had a shake or soup. I told them what to expect and they were very supportive. Try talking with your friends again. If they still don't get, then find new friends. IMHO
  19. I had the plication as well, and it does help with the hunger. Never had the pains though... guess I was lucky!
  20. Amen... every surgeon has his own plan. No wonder so many struggle giving advice on the forum!
  21. Not all laxatives are created equal. CHeck with your doctor for recommendations.
  22. Miralax is not a cramping laxative. My doctor has me on it half dose daily, and no cramping.
  23. If you feel it, the band is telling you that you need to eat slower, smaller bites, or chew better. If it is the same food consistently.... it may mean it gets added to your no go list.
  24. My insurance BCBS paid for fills except for 30 dollar copay.
