  1. Sounds like you may be swollen and blocked. Can you drink water?
  2. You could put the soup through the blender and then eat it. Best would be to check with your nutritionist or surgeon.
  3. Lisa... everyone on this site is a mentor. You have a wealth of information at your finger tips. Just ask and you will get answers.
  4. Keep with it. And sit hubby down for a heart to heart chat. Tell him your fears and listen to his. You both need to be on the same page... Right CG?
  5. Keep thinking about losing kids. Everyone loses at a different rate. There is no right or wrong rate. SLow and steady will win out in the end.
  6. No Superman acts needed. Just telll them you love them and you are doing this journey so you can spend more and more time with them. Today is transitory. They will remember the end results!
  7. Don't obsess about the preop diet. You lost 40 pounds already, so you can hang in for a little pre-op! Congratulations on getting a date and getting approved.

  15. I would find an expert allergist and talk with them. It is ot good to be throwing up so much even without a band. I hope you find relief soon!

  17. You should not be vomiting is you are eating the proper foods and chewing sufficiently. If this happens all the time you could damage your band, so you should call the doctor to discuss. It sounds like you are too full.
  18. Talk to the doctor about what you are eating. Fills don't have to happen everytime you go in.
  19. I agree... if you cannot get hold of your emotions now, I would postpone the surgery and seek food counseling first. It is a major lifestyle change and if you were truly ready, I don't think you would be fighting it so hard. Good luck.
  20. Consider splitting your shakes into two servings each and spacing them out. That way you can feel like you have more to eat!

  23. Good luck... cut out the sodas and alcohol and it will go faster! Try diet sodas or crystal light.
