  1. Yes, please go and get re-hydrated, you will feel much better.
  2. Trust me, it will happen soon enough. I thought the same thing but I progressed slowly. I am 7 months out and can do about a cup of food at a meal, sometimes less, just depends on what it is.
  3. Thanks for sharing, I have to check it out!
  4. Congrats to you both...keep up the good work!
  5. I have my start weight...255. My surgery weight...240. My current weight...172. Total of 83 lbs lost.
  6. Only at the hospital...it came out the next am before I went home.
  7. I had a pretty good appetite before as well. I felt full and satisfied post op, no hunger issues at all. I believe it is just a mental thing everyone needs to work on. Sure, I looked at what I ate and said..."how can I be full already?" but I didnt dwell on it and I was good. Trust me, you dont want too overeat...it is freakin miserable. If you take one extra bite it feels like it is stuck in your throat! I am 7 months out and eat anything I want only very small amounts, of course I make better choices now but I sure am not depriving myself. Best of luck....you can do this!
  8. I cleaned house of all that years ago....I only have a few, really close friends and those are the ones who would do anything for you, drop what they are doing to help at a moments notice. Life is too short for toxic people!
  9. I know, I can eat anything I used to, just a small amount! I absolutely love my sleevie, I too, order a taco and eat the filling, sometimes a bite or two of the tortilla but I would rather have the meat for sure! I was pleasantly surprised when I found out how many food options I still have...woo hoo! Good luck to you all!
  10. I just wanted to tell you.....I am 46 , going to be 47 in March and my husband would have another baby in a heartbeat!!!
  11. Good luck tomorrow Justine......you will be fine!
  12. It has to be muscle weight since it weighs lots more than fat! I hear ya, I have been at the same weight for 3 weeks then I drop 2 lbs...I know it is slowing since I am close to goal but really?
  13. Congrats on you upcoming surgery! I didnt change at all, my taste is exactly the same as it was pre surgery. The only thing I have is acid reflux but I take my Prilosec every day...problem solved! I love very spicy, even downright hot foods and I still can have them.
  14. At least you picked a good slider food! I love my grapes too, I have a grape arbor with 60 year old vines and I get TONS of grapes every year, I have to give them away there are sooo many!
  15. Yes, it freaked me out too but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. I started at 4 months and it pretty much slowed to normal hair loss at 6 1/2 months. Hopefully your hair loss will be minimal. The way I look at it , small price to pay to have my life back. I feel freaking fantastic, my relationship with my husband is back, I can do stuff with my kids now, shop anywhere I want...woo hoo! Best of luck to you!
  16. No, but I had a few pieces I had saved....forever it seemed. I dropped sizes so quickly I am glad I didnt buy anything. I am already hating having to get rid of clothes I have had for 2 months. I went from a size 20 pant 2-3x shirts to 10, sometimes 8 pants and L, sometimes M shirts. I have been shopping at thrift stores, much cheaper and I dont feel so bad when it doesnt fit anymore! I can tell you it is fantastic to be able to shop anywhere now, not the plus size stores.
  17. You will be just fine, I too was up to going back to work early, about 5 days out but Dr made me take three weeks. Just think, what a great Christmas present for yourself!
  18. I had salsa and refried beans ( I made it really runny) at two weeks out...no issues whatsever. I say just give it a try....I love my spicy foods!
  19. Wow! I got sooo lucky, I have the best insurance ever....no copays at all, $5 prescriptions, chiropractic ( 30 visits a year @ $10 per visit) $35 E.R. visits. I had to pay $20 when I left the hospital for my 4 prescriptions....gotta love it!
  20. That is a great schedule! Once you get used to it, it isnt so much of a full time job....it does get easier!
  21. I sooo understand...it can be so frustrating! I got lucky and didnt have any paperwork issues at all. Keep up the positive attutude, it will help you soooo much after surgery. Good luck!
  22. I do the same type of recipe but use one, maybe two eggs, fat free milk and use Pam instead of the oil, way less calories and still tastes fabulous! I sometimes throw a couple tbsp's of grated cheese too, even a dollup of fat free sour cream.....yummy! It doesnt have as much protein but way less fat.
  23. Wow, that is a fantstic weight loss so far! I am 7 months out, down 83 lbs, 68 since surgery, 22lbs from goal. I feel fantastic too, have since a week out from surgery , I had no issues at all. I eat pretty much whatever I want but I make better choices that I used to. I have been doing 2 zumba classes, 2 weight training sessions and one yoga class a week. Last week I was soooo busy...not one class but I got plenty of exercise around the house doing summer cleanup! Keep up the fantastic work!
  24. Woo hoo! Congrats on your amazing weight loss!
