  1. Glad to hear you are doing well. Best of luck to you on your journey!
  2. Congrats Chimera, keep up the fantastic work!
  3. You will be just fine. I too was super nervous the day before but I was very calm the day of surgery so I knew I was doing the right thing and was going to be ok. I believe that the mind is a wonderful tool you can use to calm yourself, just dig deep, it is there to help you thru this! Best of luck for a speedy recovery!
  4. Yaaay, you are on your way to the new you! Sorry you had a few issues but considering you just had major surgery, I think you are doing great! I was super tired the first week but I felt like a million bucks the second week so hang in there! Kee us posted......
  5. I was ok after one week but everyone is different. I went to a crab feed two weeks out, even had a few bites of crab and two cocktails, vodka cranberry with just a splash of vodka and I did just fine. You can do that as far as the reunion, they will never know you arent really drinking! I say go for it, the sooner you do this, the sooner you will be on the losers bench!! Best of luck.....you CAN do this!
  6. I dont worry about fats either, I eat what I want, of course I make better choices now so the fat really isnt an issue. I too eat regular cheese, 2% cottage cheese and lowfat yogurts. I think it the the processed foods with all the fat that would be an issue and I limit those tremendously.
  7. Yes, I believe they do incinerate body parts. I was wondering the same thing! I signed a consent form for all my surgery info to be used in studies to better bariatric surgeries, I had my surgery done at U.C Davis in Sacramento which is a teaching hospital.
  8. I am sorry you are having trouble but you CAN do this! I only had to do two days of liquid...thank goodness. I would do protein shakes if you need to, they are pretty filling. Best of luck to you!
  9. I was told I will take it forever, I just had my 6 month appt and they doubled my dose and added extra vitamin d since I was low.
  10. Completely normal, you will do just fine! Keep us posted on your recovery!
  11. I am sorry to hear that, hopefully they will figure out the issue and get you all fixed up! Best of luck to you!
  12. Yaaay! Good vibes coming your way!
  13. Praying for you it all works out, keep us posted!
  14. I went for my 6 month post op appt today and was told I was at 70% of my EBW lost. She says that is great since normal is 60-65% at 1 year out, does that sound correct? I read a few articles that kind of confirm this but is seems we ( in this forum) are losing quicker than that...guess that is good!!!
  15. It happens to me all the time, completely normal. I stall for 1-2 weeks, lose a few, lose a few more and stall again. I try to mix it up when that happens, up my food intake a bit, change my workout routine and drink a couple more glasses of water, normally breaks the stall in a couple days for me. I feel your pain....it sucks! Give it a try and see of it helps. The TOM doesnt help either, I normally retain a few lbs of water weight then too! Best of luck and hugs to you!
  16. Yes GNC has them. I tried several kinds, couldnt stand any!!!
  17. I have the best luck with a large red plasic cups I got at Walmart, the ones in the summer area with the beach towels and such. I seem to drink more when I use those!
  18. Oh yes, makes perfect sense! Welcome and best of luck for a speedy approval and a new life for you!
  19. I am glad you are doing well, best of luck! Yes, the ball feeling is normal, the first week I had it. Day by day it gets better, welcome to the losers bench!
  20. Pure Protein chocolate Peanut Butter: Calories:200 Protein:20 g Carbs are 19 but I dont eat a lot of carbs so I make up for it with this.
  21. Yes, completely normal. I still burp sometimes but most of the time it is a gurgle, whether I am drinking or eating.
  22. I am 6 months out and still cannot do really carbonated drinks...I keep trying but they dont agree with me either. I can do the lightly carbomated like the Hard lemonades etc. I wasnt in pain like you but it was uncomfortable. Not sure but maybe we cant do beer right now. Sucks cause I like my beer too!
  23. Looking good girl, you are so close to goal! Congrats!
  24. Hi Chris, welcome to the forum. You will find a plethra of information here to answer pretty much all your questions and concerns, I did! It is normal to be nervous/excited etc, I know I was. I had my surgery Feb 9th , went home the next day at noon and have never looked back! I had no issues at all other than the soreness from surgery the first week. No issues with any drinks/food at all. I started at 255 middle of January, was down to 240 at surgery and am at 176 now, six months out and 26 lbs from goal!!! You can do this! Best of luck to you, keep us posted!
  25. I am so sorry you had to go thru this but now you know your limit, I guess that is good right? Good old fashioned practice i all you can do. Best of luck!
