  4. Well it would have been sooner but due to work and my husbands work I can't start the pre op diet until the first of October. Everyone needs a buddy! I'm on facebook also...will add you as a friend.

  6. Thanks, I'm very excited. The only reason I worry about the pre op diet is because of being a cook, it's gonna be hard. I'm gonna do it. Being self pay makes it a lot more important along with the results from the help of the sleeve to make myself healthier. How do I get my surgery date on the list that is on this site?

  9. Hi Tammy, I am self pay because my insurance won't cover any wls. Just got a call from tallgrass today and Oct. 17th is the day of surgery! Start my preop diet Oct. 7th. Dreading that :-( Good luck with your insurance!
  10. Tammy, I also am having my surgery at St. Francis through tallgrass...Dr. Hamilton. I just had my phsyc appt last week, now just waiting for the surgeons office to call me so I can schedule.

  16. BentleyJade, I hope your bcbs will cover your surgery, I have bcbs of kansas and they won't cover any type of wls so I'm self pay. Good luck to you!
  17. Ah the red tape! I'm sure everything will be fine, keep your head up. I go for my psych eval tomorrow, a bit nervous but will be glad to get it over with then I can schedule my surgery. Let us know what happens please.

  19. I've used nail polish remover before and it worked great, just be careful not to get it on your incisions. May I ask why you were in the hospital for 6 day? Hope you are healing well. Congrats on your sleeve!
  20. When I broke my ribs, I had to sleep on our recliner couch for 3 months so I know this won't be that bad.

  22. I've been drinking the pure protein chocolate shakes from walmart. They are 23 grams of proteian and 1.5 grams of fat and only 1 gram of sugar and they don't taste bad at all.

  24. MY insurance doesn't cover it either so I'm self pay. I got a loan from my bank and am going to make monthly payments. Anything is worth getting healthier!
