  1. That's awesome! It has been a pleasure to have you on this forum! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your openness and positivity.
  2. What about carbs and protein per 1 cup?
  3. I say calling is a great idea, but twice a day is a little excessive.
  4. You are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your story!
  5. Good point, you know I will be calling on August 5th the day after everything is supposedly submitted to make sure it gets there.
  6. Can't go wrong with cheese in my book!
  7. Yeah, I am a size 16 up top and a size 20 on bottom. I carry it all in my hips and thighs. I hate it. I can't wear dresses because they are either too big up top or too small on bottom. I would love to be proportionate one day.
  8. I called to make an appointment and requested to speak with the surgeon about my candidacy for surgery.
  9. Oh no, keep us posted on what you decide to do! I will be keeping you in my thoughts, lady.
  10. The supervised diet should be good no matter what. Just keep your records, and definitely call your new insurance. Tests are tests unless they want like a specific surgeon.
  11. Welcome to September! We are excited to have you. Congrats on getting a date! You must be so excited.
  12. Hey lady! I am not in the same month, but I am in the same process and we seem to have quite a few similarities. I am 21 year old female college student. I am 5'3" and 235 lbs, and I am hoping to be sleeved in September! If you ever have any questions or just wanna talk please feel free to contact me, I love to talk!
  13. Only if your insurance says you have to then it shouldn't be a factor in your approval or if your surgeon says you have to. Good luck!
  14. Try the Nectar Protein Roadside Lemonade.
  15. Unjury Chicken and Unjury Chocolate are really good and 20g of protein per serving with 4g of carb. I also like RTD EAS Vanilla 17g of protein 2g of carb and I have heard isopure isn't bad either if you do the powders not the RTD.
  16. Lady, I live in Tampa and go to school there and I will be having surgery in early September. By October, I will definitely be A-okay, and if you need a ride from Tampa back to wherever you live just let me know.
  17. Personally, I like to give at LEAST a month's notice.
  18. No, but some insurance companies do want to see if the patient can remain consistent and attend each Dr.'s appointment. Or I sometimes when I get really sick of the 6MSWL I think they want to see people drop below the covered BMI. For me, my insurance requires the 6MSWL, a psychological evaluation, and that I have a BMI of over 40 with no comorbidities or a BMI of 35 with two. It really isn't a lot, but it sure can take awhile. The plus side is my insurance covers 100% if I meet their requirements, and that is totally worth it to me. Though, take this six months to really prepare for life after surgery, how to cope with the major changes in habits and lifestyle, and prepare your loved ones. Good luck on your journey!
  19. Honestly, it really depends on the quality of your insurance and your financial situation. Waiting the six months can be beneficial in helping you prepare for life after surgery, how to cope with the major changes in habits and lifestyle, and prepare your loved ones. For me, the six months has been a trial, but I got through it and I have lost some weight and since I have met my deductible my insurance pays 100%. However, if your insurance only pays 70/30 it might be better to just self pay. More wonderful people on this forum will chime in, and I hope you come to a decision you can live with. Good luck on your journey!
  20. That's awesome! I am so glad you are feeling better.
  21. That's just amazing. Keep up the great work!
  22. Haha, I can't wait to do the same thing to my family.
