  2. i don't think there is an average--everyone is different--comparing yourself to others will drive you crazy
  3. ok--so I went to the bank this morning--(I live in a small town where everyone knows I had VSG) and the girls working in there start telling me that my clothes are way too baggy and that they look bad. Now, this is a little bit NSV and a little concerning. Concerning because I don't feel like I am ready for tighter clothes yet. I have spent the last 20 years making sure that my clothes covered everything and were never tight on me--the less skin they actually touched the better. Elastic waist and VERY long shirts have been normal for me. A friend called me the other day and told me she had a bunch of clothes for me so I went and got them and they all fit--but they are tight--not tight like they are too small--but tight like in style--I just can't see myself wearing them right now I have went from a tight size 24 to a nice fitting 14/16 in two months so I am happy about that--I am just a little worried about when will my head catch up with my body? I keep thinking that no one will even be able to notice that I have lost weight and am surprised when someone says something about it. Just wondering how long till your mind knows you are thinner???
  4. my post was also called backing out--boy, am I glad I didn't!!! don't listen to those stories--it started being a joke to me that everyone heard about someone--blah blah blah--but no one could ever give me a name or place...listen to your heart

  12. feeling great!!! I am currently in my second week stalled and wishing it would quit-- I can't drink the Protein at all--the smell gags me--so I am doing the best I can with food--I don't eat cottage cheese or yogurt so I am just doing the best I can I didn't feel the restriction at first, but now two bites is about my limit--I have found if I eat more than that, I don't eat for the rest of the day--just too full!!! liquids are not a problem, but about two weeks ago, I started getting sick to my stomach when I would drink water--so I haven't been able to get much of it down lately I feel great and the loss is really starting to show--my only real problem is the 4 am wake-ups--i feel like I will never sleep through the night again!!!!

  16. LOL I have been wondering about this--it seems like every time I take a drink for the past few days I sneeze--it has been driving me crazy!!!! I have had the runny nose too--I am having issues with slowing down when I eat and drink--(old habits are hard to break) now I guess I know...
  17. It seems, that since my surgery, I go to bed at a normal time, but seem to wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning and can't go back to sleep--this started about three days after surgery and continues until now --almost three weeks-- I never had a problem like this before. Did anyone else experience this?? Any idea??
  18. on my diet--ground meat is a mushie--I am two weeks and a few days out--I have had taco meat and chili--it was wonderful!!! tonight I am going to try sloppy joe meat--now I am talking less than two teaspoons full--but it is great!!! I also had 1/3 of a breakfast sausage patty--yummy
  19. I saw it, I couldn't help but feel that she has some real mental issues--she was hearing what he was telling her, but it was like she was not processing it correctly... I feel bad for her, but I don't see anything changing unless she gets psy help
  20. gummy one a day for me--they are like a little treat!!
  21. checking in--I DID IT!!!!! I had my sleeve on September 8 my Halloween goal was to loose 30 pounds and I passed that by today!!! I don't think I have ever hit a weight loss goal in my life--woohoo woohoo woohoo
  22. we lest the hospital and drove from san diego to vegas for some fun--then decided to drive the rest of the way home--to TEXAS!! no pain whatsoever!! I even skipped out on the two days in the hotel--I just was too restless to stay there
  23. I am thinking about making sloppy joes tomorrow for my mushy--my list also includes the meat out of a taco, spaghetti sauce with some meat in it, and meatloaf. I had chili with cheese today and it was awesome!!!
  24. I am two weeks out and haven't had any protein at all--I can't even get the glass all the way to my mouth before I start gagging--the smell is awful I am lactose intolerant so all I can use is the isopure and the nectar. I started mushies a few days early and have had half an egg a couple times a day to get protein in--today I had some chili with cheese it was AWESOME!!!! I am thinking I am just going to have to get all my protein from food and the shakes are not gonna work for me.
  25. he did have a death--but you have to weigh how many surgeries he has done on us high risk people against his death numbers--which I believe to be one. I know several surgeons and don't think any of them have a number like that.
