  1. *First of all this is my personel disclaimer* I am not a doctor, just a nursing student and a HUGE hypochondriac, that studies everything that could go wrong with the human body. OK, I have studied stool in relation to health for a while. YES on my own time I researched do-do. green stool is usually indicitive of fast transit time in the stomach. Which means that your food has traveled through your entire system to fast and hasn't been drained of all the nutrients. In itself this is usually harmless and doesn;t last long. I would say given that you have went from three times a week to 2x a day that your body is trying to keep up with the new cycle and not getting everything from your food. I would assume it would catch up soon. If the blood was bright red or streaking the movement itself it is usuall y a sign of hemmerhoids, Which would make since due to the increased wiping and time spent on the toilet. Very dark to black stools are ususally some bleeding inside. Light clay colored stool could be liver or bile duct problems, orange is an influx of beta carotene (Carrots, veggies, multi vitamin). Again, I am not a doctor and this should not replace any medical advice!
  2. nurselisa22, I can totaly relate. Im in the healthcare field too and I drive myself nuts with all of this. Raine, I needed that! LOL you can call me an idiot anytime . Thank you guys for the calming words.
  3. Hi Guys With my surgery in less than two weeks, I guess all my nerves and anxiety have manifested themselves as a severe case of hypochondria. I am scared I have EVERYTHING and it will be discovered in the middle of my surgery forcing them to cancel it. I have had all the blood tests and liver function tests and they all came back normal. Im just convinced that something is wrong with my liver (all that college drinking) or something. Somebody help me out and tell me im being an idiot. If I had some kind of liver problem it would have showed up on the liver function test right?
  4. First >clap, clap, clap< for the amount of weight that you HAVE lost. And secondly, if you don't want your journey to be over it doesn't have to be. You may have reached the potential of your sleeve, but you haven't tapped the potential of the human spirit. If you want to drop another 10-13lbs stay in a caloric defecit and hit the gym like a demon. Remember the sleeve doesn't change the fact that less calories in and extra calories burnt WILL lose weight.
  5. You are gonna be fine. See you on the otherside of slim
  6. Hey, what are calling our little group? July has the firecrakers, september has the sizzlers, I think we should have a cool name too...

  8. Love the shirt. Great job on your loss
  9. I was doing the binge thing until my doc told me that once he got inside and my liver was too fatty and heavy he would abort surgery. No way im going under and waking up with no sleeve!
  10. Just a theory, but could it be that your needle is hitting hard muscle now as opposed to soft fat?
  11. Hello All My surgery is fast approaching and Im putting together a shopping list for all the stages of eating. I have heard a great many people talk about the benefits of things like sliced deli turkey. I love deli and this will not be a problem for my protein fix. The problem is that i LIKE deli and im a little scared that with the meat being so thin that I will not get a feeling of fullness and will overeat on the stuff. Do you guys feel restriction with deli meat? Is it after 1 or 2 slices?
  12. PatrickG, the 20lbs really makes a differrence. The "hang over" belly is gone. I always hate how my gut hangs over my pants.
  13. OCTOBER 26 and its about damn time!
  14. When can you successfully pass a cigerette blood test and doesn't the gum have nictine in it?
  15. Oct 26 Smoky! You were right about us being sleeve buddies!! Soon2be, I def will check in with our october sleevers thread. I am finally excited, feel like its been a long, bumpy road.
  16. thanks for the replies. Quitting was something I wanted to do for a while anyway so getting my surgery and saving my life is FAR more important then puffing up. Im going to try to go cold turkey and if it gets rough I'll get my doc to prescribe an aid.
  17. Thanks Smoky They just called and Im all set! Was just an issue of them changing t5he code. WHEW
  18. Doc pushed my surgery back a week because I was honest and told him I was still smoking. Im trying to quit and really want too, but why did he push my surgery back? He said he is gonna do a blood test to see if I was still smoking the day before surg and if I was he was going to cancel me.
  19. Just found out that my docs office sent in my paperwork for the LAP BAND!! I was approved for that but I told them repeatedly that I had switched to the sleeve 3 months ago. Will this be a problem for me? She said it MIGHT be as simple as calling and switching a code but im not that optimistic. Will they have to resubmit? Will I be waiting another two weeks for approval? Im so sick of this process, I just want my sleeve.
  20. That is sweeeet in such a short period of time too! Any problem with loose skin losing so rapidly?
  21. Was wondering the same thing. Gonna be nice to add a couple inches to the ol johnson
  22. I think the counseling is a great idea. Out of curiosity why are you going to lose the weight before you dump him? Why not now? Does it have to do with your confidence?
  23. Thats great! You can go as the skinny you!

SeattleSue, I hear you.! If it was economiclly feasible I would live off of scallops, king crab, shrimp and and salmon! SurrenderDorothy, I totaly understand you on the purist spectrum as Im the same. But I really wanna cut out mayo for awhile. Does the veggienaise taste anything like real mayo?
  25. I was required to do three from my doc, but only did one. (one of the perks of working in his hospital) It was small and kind of intimate with about 11 people. I think they are beneficial if you are new-new to the process, but Im big into personel research and with te VST board and youtube videos I feel like I could perform this surgery on myself! But if shes new then I would reccomend it. They even had people who have had the sleeve and were successful so you can see the results!
