My turn.
Hello Mommieto2, I understand your fears regarding your small children, mine are grown and I still have the same fears as you. but like you I feel this will extend my life and the quality of life that I have left. I want to once and for all have this monkey off my back.....do you have family or friends to help out once you get home??? I live alone so I don't have to care for anyone but myself. I plan to go back to work 6 days post op as well. I am active, but do have an office and explained to my assitant and to my boss that I will not be lifting for a few weeks and I am fortunate they are very supportive. Good luck to you......I am the day after you. I will put you on my prayer list. God Bless!

Is anyone else OBSESSING over getting this sleeve done? It's all I think about!
I am like Autumn, I can't wait to start my new beginning. I still have several days before my surgery, but I already have my fridge stocked, most of the items I need to take in a suitcase already. I tired of jumping through insurance hoops and took matters into my own hands. I would be sitting here this time next year still waiting and still fat.

Surgery date is set, July 25
There is a thread on here that explains how to do it successfully. It is pinned and shouldn't be too hard to find. I was able to do it by following the easy to understand instructions. Good luck.

Hello Artmama, we are about the same age and weight, I am a couple of days after you. like your husband said we aren't getting any younger. We have similar stories, obese at 14 and losing the weight only to gain it all back plus some. I wish you the best and I will add you to my prayer list. Let me know your progress. Sandra aka Boots

Tai Chi?
Notice you have problems with balance. Something that helped me with balance is my Wii fit. I have the balance board, and I have improved dramaticly from when I started. Hasn't so much helped with weightloss up to this point. But I am soon to remedy that. Good luck to you.

Good bye group
Sorry for your disappointment. I was originally wanting a band until I went to a lapband seminar. I had never even heard of the sleeve before then. There are alot of people who have had great success with the lapband. There are successes and failures with every form of WLS or diets or work out plans. You will just have to make your mind up to make the lap band a success for you. It will be a tool. Sometimes we have to deal with the hand we are given. You are fortunate that your insurance will pay for a lapband, Mine wouldn't pay for anything because I have nothing wrong with me except being over weight. So don't stress just be thankful that you are able to receive some help, not exactly in the form you were wanting, but help just the same. Good luck to you and God Bless!
