Anyone going to be in Mexico, Dr Almanza on aug 2?
I just arrived home from getting my sleeve. I could not be happier. Dr. Almanza and all his staff was wonderful. I didn't have to lift a suitcase. I met a lot of very nice sleevers and we struck up a bond. I went alone and never felt unsafe....I just tried to enjoy the experience and pretend I was on wls vaca. The weather was beautiful and I was cared for so well. It did take 2-3 hours to get across the border (return) but with all the vendors it was very entertaining. I splurged and got a wonderful upper body massage. Severo was my nurse and did a wonderful massage. I will have to go back when I get thin to get a strong handsome hispanic man to give me another massage. What is the saying what happens in Mexico stays in Mexico. lol

The WHY behind the STALL
Too funny, my Dad uses the same "wet paper bag" expression and he is an Arkansas Hillbilly! I always think of my innner skinny girl as being tough and I always have. I guess because I was the tomboy growing up. I guess that is why my fake name is boots, cause "these boots are made for walking and that is exactly what I'm gonna do...." lol

July 27th Sleevers IT IS SHOWTIME!!!
Hey gang, July 27 boots1 Ruby Sheila aslimmerme Our time is drawing nigh!!! After months of stalking this forum, buying protein powders of every kind, stocking up on vitamins, biotin ect. now it is finally showtime. We have been encouraging each other, preparing mentally for this battle of the mind.... to win and take control of our lives. We have to put away the devil of doubt and know this is a time of renewal and transformation, that we have been waiting on..... perhaps for years. This is our long awaited miracle. I am not nervous, I am at complete peace and just so very thankful for this opportunity. You are all in my prayers and thoughts. I hope you are all as excited as I am.

The WHY behind the STALL
I am enjoying your blogs. Once during one of my many weightloss plans, a nurse told me, that you lose internal fat around your organs, then you lose inches when the fat is replaced, so probably about the same thing..

Ahhh Papa Jack, that is so sweet. See women love it when a man shows emotion. Ha! I haven't cried yet...I think I am so relieved to find other people who feel the same way as me. NEW NAME? "Sleeved in Seattle"
I laughed out loud and had tears. Great story. If everyone would find the funny side to uncomfortable situations, there would be less unhappy people. Thanks for sharing and so glad that everything went so well. Many blessings to you. Sandra

Farewell Meal
Big Griz, you are right.... the mental game is the hardest to win. Our minds and habits are what we have to overcome, that is why we are at this point in our lives. 90% of the time we eat and we are not really hungry. I have not been hungry while intaking the Protein drinks and I eat a large salad for lunch with turkey or chicken, but I catch myself wanting to snack. I am a catering manager and I am surrounded by food all day. So it is easy to grab a muffin, tasting what is going out the door etc. Starting this earlier than prescribed by the doctor, I feel is beneficial to start healthy habits. Being a member of this forum, and knowing that we are not alone and other people have the same struggles and desires will be a big help on this journey.

Farewell Meal
I bought some grape and orange isopure online at Amazon, qualified for free shipping and the nectar in the lemonade flavor I think is really good. I am already experimenting and finding out what I like before my surgery. The nectar I mixed with sugar free Jello (the powder you make yourself) so I will have Protein jello when I need it. I am done with my food funerals and have been off my diet mtn dew now 2 whole days. I really miss my best friend. Glad that you all are doing well....it is very encouraging to us that are following you.
