  1. Hello all, Ok..well one week from today i will be getting my sleeve! I leave for San Diego on Sunday. I can not believe that my turn has come. I am so nervous and excited that I have not been able to sleep or concentrate on anything else. I am really happy to just get it over with. It feels like I have been waiting forever! Denise B.

  4. I am having surgery with Dr. Aceves on Jan 5th. I paid $8775 for my sleeve. This included my pre-op tests (EKG, Xrays and blood work), 1 night in hotel, 3 nights in hospital, surgery and transporation to and from the airport. I hope this helps.   5. Hey Everyone! Wow the time is going so fast!!! Well I am getting everything ready for surgery... 1) I had a complete physical with my PCP. 2) I have all my Protein shakes, crystal light and Vitamins ready to go. 3) I am going on 10 days of no smoking! I am so proud of myself. I stopped cold turkey and I am doing great with it. 4) Airline tickets, rental car and hotel are all booked. I am ready to go!!
  6. I wish I was able to have surgery in ths US. I still find it extremly hard to believe that insurance will not cover this. I am excited and frustrated all wrapped into one! I hope we all stay in touch and track eachothers progress. I am hoping to lose 100 pounds! I am ready for the surgery and the work that comes with it!!! Denise B.

  11. Hello all, I am 2 months from having my surgery and so confused on the Protein. I have seen those Protein Drink shots. Would they be good to help get the protein in? I have received some of the shake packets. I was shocked at how much powder is in one serving. I was wondering if there was anthing you all are using that I could just add to my Water. Thanks in advance for the advice!

  13. Hi Toni, I have to do a one week low carb diet before the surgery. I am so darn excited to get this over with! Yay for November! So has anyone decided what Vitamins and Protein shakes you are going to use? Also, If you having surgery in Mexico...Are you going to get a Physical here from your primary care doctor?   23. I have had two c-sections. I am going in thinking the sleeve is going to be worse. That way if its not it will be a breeze!

  25. Thanks so much for your writings. I just booked my surgery with Dr. Aceves on January 3rd. I am so excited. It is wonderful following you along so I have some idea of what I am in for. If you have any tips on things to take/prepare for surgery then please let me know. I would really appreciate it.
