  1. I would stay away from the Sprite. I am 2 weeks post op also and my doctor gave me anti nausea medicine that I can take. Also make sure you are getting some protein or food in you. Do not forget to eat. Also, make sure you are taking your gas reliever medicine. Hope this helps!
  2. All of them that you said are hard for you to eat...I'm curious as to why they are impossible for you to eat. Do you vomit? Get nauseous? Gas?
  3. Curious as to your reaction to these foods? I had maybe 2 bites of mashed yesterday and I was ok. I'm 2 weeks out.
  4. No, it will feel like forever, but in hindsight is goes very quickly! Good luck!

You must go back to the basics. Cleanse yourself, I would suggest even doing a mini-liquid diet if possible for a week. Then, remember always protein first then veggie, then carb. You won't have as much room for the carbs. I am a carb addict and I know I need to plan my meals ahead of time as to avoid snacking on the stuff there for my sons lunches. Also, excercise more and with intense intervals. Good luck!
  6. I think the deer sensed that you aren't as hungry as you used to be
  7. I wasn't on a liquid preop, but my first week I did have a glass of wine. I would advise against it if you are on a pure liquid diet, nothing to soak it up with. Plus it stores as fat and that is why you are on the diet is to shrink a fatty liver.
  8. Well I have a similar experience but in the opposite direction. I had an impingement at L5-S1 in 2006-07 and I had to have emergency surgery on it because I didn't know it was my back. I completely lost control of my bladder and my foot was numb. I had a discectomy, but had a complication and 2 weeks later I had another discectomy and hemi-laminectomy. Fast forward to 2011 I slipped and fell on ice and was told that if I didn't lose weight I would need a fusion at that level and at L4-5 since they found issues there from that fall. That is when I started looking into weight loss surgery. I do have lumbago (general lower back pain) quite frequently and I am hopeful that losing weight will relieve it tremendously and I won't need a fusion.
  9. I have been walking daily and yes I do weights 3lb weights and high rep arm exercises. Nothing over 15 lbs. I was sleeved on the 8th.
  10. It varies by your size, my surgeon says at least 60g but my prior weight loss doc told me 80-100 for every patient he saw if they were trying to stay fuller longer and build muscle.
  11. Well I had my kids very young. It is a very personal decision. Would I have more children? No, but I love them with all my heart. I think if I would have waited I wouldn't have had any kids or I may have adopted once I had my career and relationship solid. Now I am on a 5 year IUD and I am happy that I made that choice. My boys are now 11 and 18. With that said...I can't wait for grandkids (hopefully 10 years from now) because I have friends who I visit often and when their grandkids are around its sooo awesome.
  12. Beautiful as always! Great job! Keep it up!
  13. How did I know you posted this! Very good point!!!
  14. You look marvelous!
  15. Most of those things are a huge no no immediately post op for the first 6 weeks while your healing. After about 6 weeks I can have what I want in moderation if I can tolerate it. Carbs typically expand and could, over time, cause the stomach to stretch. Also, early on bread will inflate and cause vomitting. Its more a safety issue in the beginning. Then after that you don't really crave it and things taste differently too. Its hard to explain. Many of my sleever friends who have had it for a while still have caffine and they can have sugar in moderation, but most try to stick with the protein first, veggie, then carb.
  16. I was on the 8th, I'm usually always cold so that isn't different for me, but yes having a really hard time falling asleep.
  17. Here is my two cents on the reflux, I already had it big time and didn't realize it. I thought it was hunger. My doc found a rather large hiatal hernia and I had a feeling something was wrong for a few years. My doc said that his patients who already had reflux didn't have any issues with reflux post surgery.
  18. It is very very hard presurgery and I would cook and then leave the room for that time period. After being sleeved, doesn't bother me one bit.
  19. I'd research the reason why, most clinics get a kick back from you purchasing it, but maybe your surgeon has a good reason. Let us know!
  20. You may also want to repost this in the Self-Pay Mexico sleeve forum at the bottom of the main forum page!
  21. Where did you get your tt at for that price?? You look awesome!
  22. I'm glad your excited about your journey. My first question is...why are those your only choices?? Alot of people either love or hate Isopure. I personally will be picking some up to try it because I can mix it with G2. Right now I use Premier Protein Shakes that I got on sale. Its really up to you on what you like. Word of warning to you, things will not taste the same after surgery so you may not like what you have chosen before hand! Good luck!
