  1. See everyone on the flip side! It has been about 2 years of researching WLS and I'm finally here today. The timing is so appropriate and I am thankful to God for his Blessings and He is so on time. No matter how frustrated I was over the past few years it was all a Blessing in disguise. With that said, the tremendous support from all of you (you know who you are) has been very much appreciated and I know I am not alone! I have a late surgery today at 1:30 PM, so I will be starving and dehydrated by the time I get to the hospital, but I'm excited and nervous simultaneously...again THANK YOU ALL and see you on the flip side!
  2. Sounds like the anesthesia may still be in your system...are you getting enough liquids in??? Call your doc to be sure!
  3. Does that time also coincide with "that time" of the month??
  4. Oh and thank you for being honest and getting support here
  5. Walk away! Hit the reset button! I understand the temptation, but if you are 2 weeks post op you are not in the clear yet no matter how good you feel!
  6. I'm asking my doc about it tomorrow. He gave me a script that said 20mg once in the morning and once at night. That is over the counter though, but it is time released and I read something somewhere that this wasn't good because then you can't crush them?? idk, I'll clarify tomorrow and let you know.
  7. This was on the instructions so I specifically asked the nurse at the hospital during my pre-op testing and she said its not as big of a deal anymore. I don't need to remove it as it shouldn't interfere with the newer pulse oximeters. If it does they will just take it off there in the room for the one finger.
  8. You were and ARE beautiful! Great job!
  9. Thank you!!!
  10. I have Horizon BCBS NJ, my BMI is 35. something (see below) and my co-morbidities are osteoarthritis and back/joint pain. I was approved. I submitted first time with a well written letter from my doctor recommending the surgery.
  11. give me gas too! lol
  12. I have had my Mirena IUD since August 2011 and I have not gotten pregnant. I got Mirena because not only does it place a foreign object in your uterus to make your body reject any developing fetus, it also gives off a small amount of hormone to prevent it from occurring. Some IUD's do not give off hormones and are just a foreign object intrauterine.
  13. http://www.justbestrecipes.com/casserole-gratin/lemonade-ice-blocks.html I don't think these would be bad, but you can do sugar free also...
  14. Time will seem like its at a standstill, just keep yourself occupied and good luck!
  15. Honestly, I think a liquid diet would have been easier, more black and white..I've had issues with severe headaches on my preop and cravings are definitely a mind game...
  16. Yes, very common after pain meds is constipation...if it is bright red, usually nothing to worry about, need a stool softener, but obviously I'm not a doc! If its a dark red, that could mean internal and call your doc right away.
  17. Good to hear whats going on, now I'll make sure I bring chapstick... almost forgot! pay it forward!
  18. Yes its the drugs, it will get better...
  19. lol, thanks Fyre Storm.! I personally didn't get one because I wanted one that looked like jewelry, but if it were an emergency they wouldn't be looking closely at my jewelry to check for the tag unless its obvious...don't believe they would see it.
  20. I was waiting for the stress eating remark! Very eventful day! Good luck!
  21. I would be upset too, it may or may not have been done. It could have been a billing error or an inflation of billing. My consent forms said possible hernia repair and possible liver biopsy. Its an insurance game in my opinion, but I would say something to your surgeon if you want to know.
  22. I agree, put it down, you will irritate your stomach...step away from the kitchen!
  23. Some people have them, I've debated, but probably not going to.
