  1. This was the hardest time for me! Good luck!
  2. DrmBig4Evr replied to LizC's topic in Insurance & Financing
Yes this is a good thing. Your company provides you a nurse to assist with any questions about your upcoming procedure and post op. It appears you were approved.
  3. I lost weight quickly 4 years ago and had to have my gall bladder out and this wasn't from surgery as I just had it in March. Basically what happens is that your body gets used to a strict diet in high protein and low fat then you go and eat something high fat and your gall bladder over reacts. Crazy thing and intense pain, but not uncommon.
  4. I only had vision loss from the Morphine the first week after surgery.
  5. Yes, either Atkins or Premier will have the lowest. Also if you get it from Smoothie Factory, my favority is the Gladiator, 45g with very little carbs depending upon a fruit you choose.
  6. You look great! I need to take mine still and look for some old pics because I didn't take full body ones!!
  7. I just got out of my stall, so keep calm and know that this will pass. I lost inches while I was waiting for my stall to end. Make sure you measure. I stalled from Week 3-6. I am now down 2 lbs. I am so happy its ended and relieved that it is just a phase. Stay on track and keep pushing forward!!!
  8. How Lovely and Exciting!!! Wishing you all the best!
  9. From what I understand the leak had been there but didn't show up in the testing because of the swelling, once the swelling went down she went on like normal. It was such a small hole that she never noticed it. She started getting frequent infections and then they found a very small leak after some further investigation. My guess is that it was there from the operation, but the swelling didn't allow such a small hole be exposed on the leak test.
  10. As with anything there are risks, just know what the risks are and your options for treatment if they occur.
  11. I'd compare the gummies to your multi chewable because they may not have as many vitamins and minerals as the chewable. All the ones I compared didn't. I use Centrum Multi Orange Chewable, got it from Target.
  12. I honestly don't think so, I at least have never heard of that. Not completely sure. Either there is a leak or there isn't. I know a girl who had been sleeved but didn't know that the leak she had was there until she suffered several bouts of pneumonia. Therefore, it was at around 6-9 months that she found out about the leak.
  13. I'm there with you, still there, will be 6 weeks on Friday. Started at week 3. Down about .6 or so.
  14. I found that vanilla shakes especially the ones that are very sweetened do this to me.
  15. Awesome! Congrats!!! Wonderful feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I bought mine on Amazon too when they had a huge sale. Your best bet is Costco too.
  17. Remember that hydration is key right now. Also, did your doc give you any medicine for nausea? I had that feeling also around that time.
  18. That was my problem presurgery. Now my hunger is more of an empty feeling, but I can tell the difference with the acid. I stopped taking my PPI the other day and I can definitely tell, I do feel "hungry", but I know its because of the meds and not the hunger feeling I was having before I came off which is more of an empty.
  19. I was told as long as I'm not on pain meds I could drive!
  20. Thought I'd share, Cuisaid ProDigital Kitchen scale is available for $9.99 on Amazon and orders over $25 are free! Enjoy! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/handle-buy-box/ref=dp_start-bbf_1_glance
  21. I'm having the same thing! Also, I too am having trouble getting my protein in, but the last few days I have focused on it and today I finally exceeded my goal. I try to look for items that are very high in protein.
  22. Yes I'd like to join who do I send my email to?????
  23. Lol, John I did pretty much the same thing!!! Had my surgery on a Friday, kids birthdays were Sunday/Monday, I was back at work Wednesday and working out the following week and I flew from TX to AZ about 2 weeks out.
  24. I agree with you Laura, and John and Amanda. There are alot more people with regrets. I was at a support group meeting and this guy openly stated that he sees something that he wants and really wants to just eat it all and he can't. This is why he regrets it. It is truly a mental thing. I myself do not regret it, but I need to put in alot of work on the mental part of it. I realize this and I am scheduling my psych appointment along with a nutritionist. My doctor was a lapband doc who didn't have a full program of aftercare or recommendations, just a sheet that says if you need it, its here. I know the mental part is the hardest for me, but I have researched WLS for 3 years before I got it done. Sad to see people have had major surgery to change their lifestyle but regret it because they have to still work for the weight loss.
  25. Huge burp usually, also runny nose and occasional sneezing. Very funny actually!
