The waiting game...

My file has been submitted to insurance as of today! Now it's just to wait for the letter/ call of approval (or not)... I'm going to be on edge the next few weeks every time my phone rings! Lol

    Has anyone called their insurance to get the status of their prior authorization? My case was submitted to insurance on May 7th. I am debating on calling them or not.

    I did not contact my insurance. But I have heard of people doing so. Mine was submitted on May 8 and I got approval today.

    I did call the bariatric office to check twice.

    I actually ended up calling my insurance company. They told me that they approved my surgery last Thursday. I called my surgeons office and left a message for the nurse. Hopefully she calls me back with a surgery date soon!!!
