2 week post op nausea

I'm 2 weeks post op and still have a lot of nausea and stomach cramps! Can I drink sprite? That use to help with nausea before surgery and I'm terrified to drink carbonated drinks now after surgery! Help!

It seems like it is probably not the best choice, unless you let it sit and go flat. Some other good choices are, ginger based teas, or hard candies to suck on. (they could be found at whole food, natural stores i.e. Sprouts etc...) Try drinking your water, and protein drinks at room temperature instead of chilled. Other teas; peppermint and chamomile could help too. If it is bad enough you may want to call your surgeon and see what they recommend.

I would stay away from the Sprite. I am 2 weeks post op also and my doctor gave me anti nausea medicine that I can take. Also make sure you are getting some protein or food in you. Do not forget to eat. Also, make sure you are taking your gas reliever medicine. Hope this helps!
