Tattoo
Hi - I have an ankle tattoo and to be honest, I didn't think it hurt very much. Kinda tickled.

Is Eatting An I Know Its A Stuck Food Bad..?
Actually, Dee, it makes sense to me and I would use the brussel sprout. Not sure that is the "right" way, but I don't think it can hurt, so why not?!

Tattoo
I really like the one you have, Carolina Girl. I married into a family and was a "tattoo virgin", so the one I got was my husband's name on my ankle or exactly the reasons mentioned. I didn't imagine I would lose or gain too much on my ankle.

Pouch enlarged???
Elisa81 - where in CA do you live? I'm in the Riverside area. I'm surprised you are having trouble finding a doctor who accepts Tricare. I'm on Tricare and the Dr's seem to love it because it pays so much and so easily.

Breast Reduction
I am thinking about getting one. I am a size J! and am 55 years old. I guess I just think it is better to lose my weight before the surgery. I loved having big breasts but now they just feel so heavy and, of course, are saggy.

Nervous For Endoscopy!
I'm glad to hear it is easy too. I need to get one because my bariatric surgeon found a mass on or in my esphogaus when he did an upper GI on me.

Tired Of Hearing About Failures...
Sorry everyone isn't as perfect as you, Melissa! I am on my second lap band. The port wasn't connected, so it did nothing. (not my fault, and I was feeling pretty low with everyone telling me I was doing something wrong) This one is working great and I am thrilled. I get discouraged, etc., just like an average bandster. This is a site for ALL bandsters. Where else, but this site, can I find encouragement when I am struggling. If you are tired of the negativity don't read it!!! But I agree that people here post when they need help, want answers, etc. I know I have and thankfully kind people have helped me.

New Port & Tubing For Broken Band
Hi. My tubing somehow wasn't connected to my port the first time around. I had my old 14 cc lap band replaced and now have a 10 cc. First time thru was very discouraging, but with the new band I am losing steadily. Let's hope for the best and be confident that your new surgery will correct the situation and you will be back on track!

Help Please With Interpretations Of Lab Results
Thanks so much for asking, Elcee. The only thing my Dr. was concerned about was that I have a mass on my esphogus. He couldn't tell if it was on the inside of my esphogus or outside. I made and appt. with my primary so he could order an endoscopy. They aren't worried about my bowels. and they could see my pouch, but said it was very small. Another surgeon did my surgery, but has left. So, I think you were right. Dr. Google did create some undue stress!!

Help Please With Interpretations Of Lab Results
Thanks for the answers so far. You are right, Elcee! I look up those words and combination of words and I get more confused Waiting patiently - you made me feel sooooooo much better. I thought my "bowels in an uproar" (he he) meant terrible things. Healthygal - I was also wondering about no pouch. Very odd. See, this is my 2nd band and it is working and I'm very concerned that it continues to work. I may not have a pouch, but something is working. The only issues I had was before my first fill. I still pb when I do something stupid like today when I was mad, thought I had another screw up surgery and ate some chips. I don't have reflux at all. No bowel issues. That is why this report caught me so off guard. I'll let ya know what the Dr. says on Wens. Thanks so much. Terry

Help Please With Interpretations Of Lab Results
Maddy1 - any thoughts you might want to give me on the results? I can certainly understand any hesitation on your part to do so, but....ya know I'm sure wondering. Thanks.

Help Please With Interpretations Of Lab Results
Can anyone please help interpret these results? A Nurse or Dr. maybe. It sounds so serious. I see the Dr. on Wens. ON 3/12 I had a Fluoroscopy upper GI with air contrast with KUB Findings: There is elevation of the right hemidiaphragm, as seen on prior chest radiograph 12-9-2011. Double-contrast upper Gl examination was performed. There is a lap-band noted. The gastric band is noted at the gastroesophageal junction and projects below the left hemidiaphragm. There is severe gastroesophageal reflux identified. There is no gastric pouch identified. There is no abnormal contrast extravasation. ln the upper thoracic esophagus, there is a small smooth focal filling defect versus extrinsic impression on the posterior wall of the esophagus on the right anterior oblique views. This persists on multiple images. Visualized portions of the stomach, pylorus and duodenal bulb appear unremarkable. There is abnormal course suggested of the promial duodenum. The third portion of the duodenum is not seen coursing superiorly as would be expected. These findings are suspicious for bowel malrotation. There is no abnormal bowel dilation identified. There is expected esophageal peristalsis. There is no obstruction to flow of barium at the gastroesophageal junction. IMPRESSION: 1. Status post gastric lap-band2. Small submucosal lesion versus extrinsic impression in the upper thoracic esophagus. Consider correclation with endoscopy. 3. Findings suggestion bowel malrotation. This can be correlated with CT examination of the abdomen and pelvis. 4. Severe gastroesophageal reflux.

Thanks everyone for the kind and encouraging words.

I'm Too Out Of Shape To Exercise
I know. I feel I should lose some weight before I start exercising, but I know that is faulty thinking. That's how hard it is.

I'm Too Out Of Shape To Exercise
As always good advice B-52. Never thought it was anything else but my weight. What does your name mean, if you don't mind. My dad flew B-52's.

I'm Too Out Of Shape To Exercise
<div>Be sure to check with your Dr first.<br /> I was so out of shape I could not walk up the stairs without loosing my breath. Turned out it was my heart.<br /> I was a walking time bomb and didn't even know it!<br /> Now I feel 20 years younger.</div> <div><br /> Ah, that is a good point. Never thought it could be anything but my weight. As hard as it is for me, it should be checked out. I mean it is almost too hard. Thanks!</div> <div> </div>

I'm Too Out Of Shape To Exercise
This is so hard for me. I will continue, but I have a difficult journey ahead of me. I got on the treadmill and could only do 3.25 minutes at 1.4 mph. Is anyone else as out of shape as I am? I am so deflated. Just I just have to keep doing it until I get better.
