  1. So I'm about 20 lbs down already. My life has changed. No more puffy bloatedness when i wake up in the morning. No more sore feet in the morning when I wake up and try to walk. No more adjusting my belt and pulling my restrictive undergarment over my stomach roll. Today I ate at a restaurant and had my first peice of toast, eggs and grits. I HAD to drink Water the whole time, helped it go down. So I'm learning. I'm very thankful.
  2. Good luck!!! You can do it. i feel better now than I ever felt before.
  3. Good job chica. yeah, the weight loss on me is VERY noticible but I decided not to fib. So I don't get questions anymore.
  4. I thought i'd only take two days. Nope. it wasn't the pain, it was the exhaustion from such little nutrition. I'd say at least a week. I ended up havign to take it without pay. But it can be done.
  5. Good!!!! that's awesome!
  6. Oh okay so different things are different for others. I have had mashed potatoes before (mushies) but i had fish for the first time yesterday and my body loved it. the mashed potatoes were just heavy comparatively. wow...
  7. So i was able to try flaky fish today and it went down easier than the mashed potatoes...how does that work?
  8. yeah, I did mine early but take it slow. Look up on google for a list and recipes. It gets boring fast!
  9. My nut said her patients are usually around 800 and if we get more than that they're usually not listening to our body. It seems super low but we'll see.
  10. Okay, you guys convinced me. It makes sense that it didn't really help as a adult eating way more than I needed but now my body may need those nutrients. Okay, talk to doc tomorrow.
  11. Okay, they offered them at 35 bucks but I've never been a vitamin person. Are any of you guys on the post-gastric surgery vitamin? Does it help you any?
  12. You made me think of something. when I was a veggie, i used to crave cheeseburgers and honestly they're not my fav meat (gimme some bacon). Talked with a nurse friend of mine and she said I may be craving Iron. Started an iron supp and it went away perm! So your body may be craving a mineral.
  13. remember you can do custards too..high cals and soups with cream. I had a cup of la madeline soup....300 cals. took me all day to drink it tho
  14. Oh, too..it depends on the doc. I had mine in Mexico but my doc is here so we can move faster because he's here. If you had yours farther away, they won't be able to see you so frquently so they make it slower movements. I was hungry until cream of wheat time (day 7 but I did it on day 5) with lots of Water. It was a miracle. good luck.
  15. At 5 days out i was on fclear liquids still. google it, there's lots of options. I am 7 days out now and I'm on full liquids and about to add in some veggies per my doc. i notice that most people do a lot differently per their docs. And funny my hunger feels like the pain I have when I'm too full...so make sure you got that under control. Also get some protein Water from gatorade...it helps.
  16. I thought i was going to bounce back. I was going to return 3 days later. WRONG. the fatigue was so much so that after about an hour, I had to lay down. I had to take a week and only on friday was I able to actually stay up all day. So plan on at least a week. I underestimated and screwed up my leave time.
  17. I haven't gotten there yet but I was told the same thing by the doc and his groups. We have to attend them after and they're weekly. One of his ideas is "fill your pouch with the most nutritious items you can most of the time" So good luck!!! You can do this!
