7 Months and Feeling Like a Success
You look great, thank you so much for sharing. Even after surgery it's good to get inspired now and then and remember where we are heading... It keeps me on track.

Are these things Normal??
Same here I had diarrhea for awhile (I started at the hospital) and my stomach was making the weirdest noises. I got a prescription for Nexium from the surgeon and I still am on it, I don't think I could do without it, so far. It really isn't hunger, it's "just" this weir weird thing that your new stomach does. Let it heal, the poor thing was under a lot of stress! Things do get better, the first days/weeks are the worse, but you will get better.

vomiting blood
Waiting to hear from you again...

Am I becoming bulemic?
I can totally relate to what you're saying. I also thought that the vomiting and all the bad feelings after eating would never go way. Seriously. Then suddenly they left. I could eat nothing, now I manage 6 oz with no problems. I have found out that I don't really tolerate meat anymore (except for baby food), so maybe you too have to find out what food you have now problems with. Please, don't be angry at your sleeve or at you for having it done. You ARE only 6 weeks out, give it its time. As most of us, you too have probably been mistreating your stomach with terrible food for years, now you should give it time to heal and understand what's going on. I see it that way. I can tell you I felt so sick after meals every single time that I got sometimes discouraged too. But then it passes. I am 3 months 8 days out and I can say I am totally fine. When you get back to solid food you'll feel more satisfied after meals, I hated fluids and mushies and everything that wasn't solid. I started with very small amounts of solid food (I had to super-chew it) and then bigger amounts. Now I can go out for lunch or dinner with friends without feeling weird and this has been happening in the last 2/3 weeks. So, please give it time, you won't be eating this little forever.

Birth control question
After years of being on the pill I switched to Nuvaring right before surgery. I find it great, no problem. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to swallow a pill, which I actually am, so I don't really know why but I am staying on the ring. I find it great, this way I won't forget to take pill and get pregnant, which is something that scares me (they did tell me to wait at least a year)

Has someone commented on your weight loss?
My landlord asked hubby if I am going to be a model... (he is kind of a typical cerimonious middle-aged Italian, but still!) As I wrote on my status, my friend told me that the amount of weight I lost is the same amount an English female bulldog weighs as an adult... I love this one, I know it might not really sound as a compliment, but it made my day. At least now I can figure how much I lost! Oh, and then there are people who keep telling me i should stop, because losing so much weight isn't healthy ... Yeah, whatever. I answer that I just need to lose another couple of kilos...

glorious overweight!
Brilliant! Welcome to the overweight bench! On the way to "healthy" now!

Full Liquids
A part from you are having, I also had liters of broth! I love broth, I had it as an appetizer, as dinner, as lunch, as anything but breakfast! And jell-o (raspberry flavour).

interesting numbers
Less inches = smaller clothes! Good job!

BMI Standards
I hate the BMI thing, it makes me so frustrated! This is why I keep track of it, of course. I too started as morbidly obese, went through obese and am right now overweight. I can't wait to be "healthy" (still 4 kgs or 8.8 lbs to go!!!)

You Guys Make Me Sane

7 month surgeversary
Slow loser??? 123 lbs in 7 months don't really sound like a slow loss to me!!! You look great in the pics. And the places you must have seen there! So jealous! I am happy you enjoyed it, that's my next destination in the USA (maybe next year, maybe not, but soon enough)! Congratulations!
-
Total scale victory!!
WOW! Congratulations! Best way to start your journey!

salad??
3 months out and I could easily have salad. I have it almost every time (once a week) I have lunch with a friend (we normally go mac donald's, so I get a small salad without high calory sauces). No problems. I really missed it during the first 3 months!

My boyfriend left me because I added one picture to this site!!!
AS ybnormal says, why don't you tell him to join the site? There's even a section for sleevers' family members and friends! It sounds to me like he was just looking for an easy way out of the relationship, but I don't know him so I can't really judge. You do need need all the possible support right now, you can't worry about what other people feel or think. It's stressful enough. My hubby was against it, which annoyed me a lot. I obviously did it anyway and now that he sees me happier and skinnier he is happy too, he even told me I made the right decision ("Really?!"). I am sure you'll try to talk to him again, but if he desn't get it... Well, let it be...
