Hi... Looking for a sleeve sister ... Hopefully you're in the pre operation stage like I am and would prefer not to be in Mexico alone... I plan to have my surgery with Dr Kelly. And I'm hoping to be scheduled sometime in mid to late July. I'm just waiting on my passport to come back... Really looking forward to a brighter future and thinner me!!! I posted here in pre op only because the Mexico self pay is new and some people still don't know about it ... Yet .. Thanks for reading ... And good luck on journey!!!

From what know... Because I haven't been sleeved just yet but I'm hoping to be scheduled very soon ( mid and end of July) ... Dr . Kellys patients recover at a very nice hotel... Hi ... I'm Denise and just like you my husbands insurance won't cover the sleeve but will cover the band and gastric bypass, but I want the sleeve ... So been saving and researching...I've chosen Dr Kelly ... I have been on other sites and have spoken with his patients by emails and some by phone... I haven't been paid nor do I believe the people that I have spoken have been paid... I believe that they have shared there journeys out of the kindness if there heart... I'm not going through sandy I'm goin through Trish ... Best of luck and I hope this helped ... u

Hi Christiemon... I can understand being hesitant in your update about this situation... Out of fear of bring judged ... I believe most people on here have your best interest at heart... And are genuinely concerned because of the dr's lack of experience w/VSG, his response to you, and the situation all together... Very pleased that everything worked out and there will be someone experienced in VSG performing the surgery.. Best of luck to you and I will add you to my pray list ... God bless!!! '

hey skinny my surgery is 2 months away but we have the same fears and I don't take pic anymore either. I still see myself fairly small and the girl in the pics in not me ... she may look like me but she not ... i ask my husband is that me ... do i look like that ... and bless his heart ... he always know just what to say .... i'm so ready for my surgey and i'm tired of my hubby lying to me .... ready to hear the truth .... i'm beautiful inside and out....

thanks so much for this post ... i too i'm trying to decide on sleeve or plication and found this to be very informative ... plication is still so new... i like the success rate for the sleeve ... i'm self pay and can't afford to get this wrong... the word necrosis scares me and i never even thought about the suture cutting in the stomach if the stomach was to become large ... pro and cons to both surgeries .. i still researching and weighting it out for myself...

hi suz did you have a problem with acid reflux or heartburn post- op??? seems to be common with VSG per the post left by other sleevers ??? what about you??? any other sleeve related issues??? and yes I'm still on the fence about beening sleeved I have no health issues ... I just can't keep the weight off long term ... i'm 31... 5'3.. and 243 that currently at my heaviest... just worried ... about complication and such ... thanks so much in advance for answering my question

I have the same problem ... It's in my genes... even in my thinner days i didn't feel confident show my arms in public .... anyway .. well i'm not sleeved yet.... but knowing how I feel about my arm I been checking out compression garments on youtube and the one that consistly gets Great Reviews is made by slimpressions :thumb: .. check it out on youtube and/or go to there website !!!
