  1. I am attempting to attach a before pic and a current pic. I won't call it an after pic because I have a long way to go, but it's where I am right now. Hope it works!!
  2. Looking good!!! Congrats and keep up the good work!
  3. I have had the same experience with coffee I loved it before surgery and it was a social thing too. I loved to have coffee with the hubby in the afternoon, or go to my parents for coffee on Saturday afternoon. Now, I can't stand the taste at all! I try to look at the bright side, I don't have to worry about getting addicted to caffeine again!!
  4. I got married in August of last year. I know my husband loves me just the way I was (he married me while I was fat, after all) but I want to spend the next 60 or 70 years with him. And I knew, at 287lbs, that was pretty unlikely. I also have 2 young daughters who lost their daddy when they were 9 and 2, and I want to do everything in my power to live as long as I can for them!
  5. Yay!!!!!! I'm so glad!! Keep up the hard work
  6. Congratulations!!! That is awesome! I can only imagine how that must feel!!
  7. Glad to hear you're getting better!! We share the same surgery date, today is six weeks for me too!!

  9. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!
  10. Congratulations!! Awesome milestone!!
  11. Started feeling it coming on about 4 yesterday afternoon. Needless to say, I didn't meet my water or protein goals yesterday and I don't see it happening today wither. My muscles are achy already but I don't know if it's just from the virus or from dehydration. Any advice??
  12. I was washing my hands at work today and, when I got ready to dry them, there were no paper towels. So I started to shake my hands off a little and... My wedding rings flew off!!!! I've lost 33 pounds since starting the pre op diet, but I've lost 63 since I got married in August!! I had to put my rings in my pocket for the rest of the day and I guess I'll be either putting them in the jewelry box tonight!
  13. Erin that is awesome to hear! I am so glad you are now moving in the right direction! Good luck to you and I will keep praying for a speedy recovery!!
  14. CONGRATULATIONS!! So excited for you and can't wait to be there myself!!! (only 22.5 more pounds for me
  15. Glad you talked to your nutritionist! I was sleeved the same day as you and I've only lost 22 pounds. We are like two peas in a pod!!

  18. Welcome to the losers' bench!!! You are gonna love it! I am so glad your surgery went well and you are feeling good. Congratulations!!!
  19. Thank you to everyone for the great advice! I'm gonna increase my water and salt intake and my exercise. Hope this helps cuz the doctors office never called back... And I have to add, this is an amazing forum to be a part of!!!
  20. I don't add salt to anything. (until last night when my husband covered my chicken breast in it, trying to bring my bp up) I am getting in about 60 oz of water, I really try to get more and I do when I'm at work but not at home.
  21. The past two days I have been having problems with my blood pressure being TOO low. It's been running between 100/60 all the way down to 80/49. Every time I stand up, I get dizzy and lightheaded, like I'm gonna pass out. I'll have to just stand there holding on to something for 10 or fifteen seconds until the feeling passes, then I can go ahead and do whatever I was doing. I am getting all my vitamins in. I am getting all my protein in. I called the surgeons office but he's out of the office today so they told me to call my primary doctor. He won't be in until after lunch so I'm waiting for him to call me back. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not on any medications except for my ppi.
  22. Awesome awesome awesome!!!! I can't wait to be where you are!!!!
  23. I am a nurse in a pediatric clinic and I now have to wear my zip up hoody all day at work! I am constantly going behind my husband and turning the thermostat up after he just turned it down. And I pretty much need a blanket when we are in the truck together! BUT, small price to pay to lose this weight!!!
