  1. I'm in the Seattle area too. Best of luck with your seminar - ask lots of questions! Keep us up to date on your progress and when you have a surgery date.
  2. Cool - looks like they carry it at the grocery store where my don works. I will have him get me some. Thanks!
  3. I have not heard of him, but I'm sure someone on this board has. Good luck with your surgery. Keep us posted on your progress.
  4. So today makes 1 month past surgery and time to take my measurements. I was floored by the results: Waist - down 5.25 inches Hips - down 3.5 inches Right Thigh - down 2.25 inches Left Upper Arm - down 1.25 inches Neck - down 0.5 inches Under breasts - down 2.75 inches Breast cups - down 3.25 inches (well, that's not such a good one :frown1:) Grand total loss? 18.75 inches gone forever. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I love that protein count ... where did you get it?
  6. Yeah!!!!! So glad the scale was the bad guy this time. Poor BF, I bet he's not sure what to do. Make sure to play it up - maybe you'll get flowers!
  7. I traveled out of state for my surgery. It wasn't bad at all. Don't lose hope - I am sure you can work something out. Let us know what you learn about their requirements. We have some pretty smart cookies here - I bet we can come up with some options for you.
  8. Congratulations on your surgery & excellent recovery so far. Sleep, sip, and walk - that is your mantra for the next few days.
  9. I am so happy for you. You are doing great!
  10. Pennie - I can't believe you were told not to eat if you weren't hungry. Very few of us are hungry post-op. I was told to get in all my liquids and my Protein by 3 weeks out. I had to set a schedule and watch the clock for eating. Do you have a nutritionist you can talk to? If not, call your surgeon. 300 is waaayyyy to low in my opinion.
  11. Isn't it great?!?!?!?!? ... I had the same experience last night. I LOVE IT!!!!!
  12. The puzzle is starting to reveal itself ... it may be a stomach bug. My husband is having some issues and my youngest son was sent home early from school with tummy issues. My stomach has been a bit upset today as well. I can't believe I'm hoping for a stomach bug!!!
  13. Hmmmm ... I must be honest and say that I've had a few french fries and no issues. I guess it could have been the deep fryer, but the fish didn't seem oily at all. Lesson learned - it will be a while before I try THAT again!
  14. That is great news Anna ... keep us posted.
  15. I have an outfit that I bought about 15 years ago when I was at my lowest adult weight. It's a slim 10. I have almost tossed it out several times over the past years, but never could bring myself to part with it. After reading this post, I think I'm going to iron it & hang it in a prominent place in my closet. That way I can look at it & remind myself that one day I will wear it again and maybe one day it will be too big.
  16. I haven't had any problems with gum chewing.
  17. I have had a terrible time finding Protein powder that I can get down. I hate the smell, taste, texture, etc. I have found that Any whey (I purchase mine from Amazon at [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Instantized-Protein-2-7-Pound/dp/B000GIUQOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1267113994&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: Optimum Nutrition 100% Any Whey Instantized Whey Protein, 2.7-Pound Tub: Health & Personal Care[/ame]) is good - especially mixed with Carbmaster's Yogurt. I mix 1/2 scoop to 1 container for 20 grams of protein.
  18. It was very odd ... I don't feel like I ate it any differently than anything else I have tried. Maybe I will just stay away from fish for a while and try again in a few week.s Ewwwwww is right!
  19. It was battered and deep fried. But I removed all the batter and just ate the flaky fish inside.
  20. So, I had cod tonight at a restaurant with friends. It seemed to be going down really well, but I still made sure to eat it slowly. About 25 minutes into the meal, I started slimming terribly. I excused myself and went to the restroom. Then, I had a short bout of vomiting. Within 10 minutes I was fine. I was so upset. What happened????
  21. I haven't had any issues except with eggs. I got nauseous and light headed when I first tried them. Otherwise, everything else seems to be doing well - just get very full very fast.
