Yes...it is hormones. I am sure you have read this when you burn fat the fat releases hormones it has been storing like crazy and it make us a bit moody (or really moody) when you weight loss slows down and your body gets into a grove it stops. You will return to a "normal" you. Actually i think I am a bit more laid back now. But maybe you should ask my DH:)

I just wanted to tell you I am sure you are not alone...but you are the only one who posted about their 8 week stall. It is hard to admit all those emotions and feeling you had. I am a marine wife and had my surgery done at Balboa in San Diego! Nice to meet you Mrs. Fly!

I have heard that for some people their bodies just flip out on them and try their hardest to figure out what you are doing to them. For some I guess it takes a few weeks for their bodies the to catch up. I have faith that if you follow your surgeon and nutritionists guidelines you will succeed! Please keep us (or at least me) posted on your next few weeks and try not to get down. Oh by the way are you seeing inches come off? How are your clothes fitting?

Any religious sleevers out there done the Beth Moore Esther study? I am on week 2 and in the lesson today she quoted a women that took a poll for her...she said for women "sometimes there is nothing that make you happier than seeing a close friend gain a couple pounds". Got me thinking...I dont ever want to think that way about other people....I wonder how many people feel that way about me?
What do you think? Do we (especially women) feel that way about others? I want to be happy for others who work hard at taking good care of themelves in an effort to be healthy. But am I disgracefully feel a little good when I lose more than someone else or make a goal first. Gotta work on that right....we are all headed in the same direction.

1 cup Peanut Butter (microwave to melt)
1 cup oats
1 scoop Protein powder
5 packets splenda
Stir together, form into balls and cool in refrigerator.

Well...look at it this way. If there is something off then now is the time to find out and do something about it. I pray you are right on track but if not let them give you all the help you may need to be healthy...isnt that why you had the surgery? Let us know how it goes!

Happy anniversary to you...you've done great...and who said one year is all you get to lose all the weight you want? You have all your life with your new little tummy.

I went out to Wally's World (walmart) and got a new bra. I didn't want to pay a lot of money for it especially since I expect I'll need a new size soon. So, I purchased a 38B and it has a small band made of lace, maybe 1 inch in width. So anyway I am wearing the new bra and have it attached to the second or middle row (NSV 1) and it's lying flat against my back(NSV 2). It hasn't rolled into any creases or it isn't digging into my back, it's just lying flat. My back fat rolls are GONE!!!! All of my other bras have wide 2 1/2 inch or wider bands to cover fat rolls. This is awesome because I am always conscious of how my shirts look from the back. I have broad shoulders and that plus back fat rolls is not a good look on me.
Now the empty space in the cups is a another story.

Amen sisters! As I was praying about, meditating on, and researching information it hit me- I thought my obesity and weight issues was just my cross to bare in life-It became clear...I believe and love Jesus -he died on the cross so we didn't have to carry our own! I think my weight was one way that 'evil' (hate to say the devil-sounds hokey!) kept me from loving myself, therefore I can't love others and it was continually pulling me further from God-feeling like a failure as a woman and in not having the strength to take care of my body. Thank you, God, for my surgeon and his staff! I praise you for helping us all!

My faith in Jesus is a priority to me and I know that this sleeve surgery was part of his plan for me. Over 25 years I prayed, was prayed for and always returned to my self destructive eating habits. I was unable to come to peace with gastric bypass for myself after 2 years of trying to, and mentioned it to a friend who told me about the sleeve. I learned that the sleeve removed the concerns I had about WLS and when I shared my desire with my husband and closest friends we prayed and they agreed, it would be a good choice for me. I know that God wants freedom from addictions and felt that in my case He desired to use a surgery to bring that. Would I think it was wrong for a drug addict to undergo surgery if it brought them freedom - of course not.
I had surgery 2+ months ago and all has been simple and smooth with no complications or struggles to get in liquid, Protein, or any real foods. Still, I can remember questioning my decision a few weeks out from surgery - just my human nature. Then I came across and read a letter I wrote 26 years ago that talked about food controling me instead of me controlling it. That timely reminder confirmed for me that this God choice was the right one for me and I go back to that moment, reading that letter when ever I doubt. My God is so faithful to me, even when I am faithless.

How many times have I turned to food for comfort instead of God? I had made arrangements for the surgery in June, prayed, and could not sleep for all the irrational fears so I cancelled the surgery. The time I would have been in surgery and recovering, I was asked to participate in some important meetings that have drawn me closer to God. My surgery is back on and I have peace, God's timing is perfect. I keep going back to Matthew 5:29 "If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of you body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell." Blessings on you all.

Just a couple of thoughts...One thing I learned is that if I mix my Protein Shake and put it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight it was not frothy, it was smooth and well mixed. Also, after surgery my tastes changed drastically. When I was pre-op trying to loss required weight I used the syntex but after I couldnt stand it...so dont put stock in a company and make sure you buy it from a place you can return unused portion if you dont like it. Also, I am almost 2 years out and I still drink Protein Shakes just about everyday, so I have tried many combos and you dont have to stick to one thing.

Wow...I had never heard of this before. Thank you so much for sharing your experience...PLEASE keep posting...One thing I have noticed along this path is that there is always some one dealing with the same issues you are. You maybe the first resleeve that i have heard of but I'll bet not the last. Look forward to hearing all about your success after you surgery!

My advice is to wait until you are at goal. Stick with healthy foods avoid junk until you are there. But just to give you something to look forward to...I eat two small slices of thin crust pizza now at 16 months out. I havent tried brownies or popcorn.< /p>

Mimismom~you know it's a lot to deal with. I am saying a prayer for you right now...hang in there. July 11th will be here soon.

I am 5'3" and my high weight was 226.5. I lost over 100 pounds and feel GREAT!

It will stop and you will be thin and healthy!!! Mine started at 3 months and ended at 9. It has all grown back and is just as healthy as ever...but now I am thin.
