Running Nose After Vs?
I am approximately 2 years out and this appears to be very common. I've talked with a few folks who have experience the nose running. There seems to be no real answers for this, just a result with many who had the sleeve.

Detroit Sleevers
Hello, I had my surgery in Mexico on March 19, 2011. Lived in Georiga at the time; however, I have recently moved back to Michigan. Highest weight 306, Starting Weight 294, Current Weight 182.6 Goal Weight 163. This has been one of the best decisions which I have made and my health is good. Looking for a VSG support Group in metro Detroit area to stay accountable with my physical/gym time. Anyone familiar with metro Detroit sleeve group(s)?

- Let's count Dr. Aceves Patients!
Greetings Everyone!!! I just had to reply as I have not posted nor been in on the board in awhile. Of course, after VSG, it seems that sometimes folks are enjoying life soo much, time just seems to fly by. I had surgery on March, 2010 and started at 294 (which I could not even speak this number several months ago). Today (October 2), I am down 95 lbs which is just short of AMAZING!!. I feel good, just walked over 7 miles today with no problems, worked out after the walk and just seem to be living more now than I did 15+ years ago! Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos were awesome!! Nina was a blessing! The entire Mexico experience was nothing short of remarkable!! As an healthcare professionally employed individual for over 20 years, I have never seen nor heard of the type of care that I and others recieved at this facility! It really makes one think about how our care, in the States, could be model after the folks in Mexico!!. I am forever grateful and thankful for a new life which has been give me! God Bless the entire staff with Dr. Aceves!!! :scared0:- northern virginia sleevers?!?!?
Hello!! Just moved to Fairfax, VA (9/21/10) and had VSG (Mexico) in March, 2010. I am doing awesome and loving my new lifestyle. So far, 95 lbs down in a little over 6mths. I am looking for a support group in the area and would love to hook up and provide advice, counsel and/or support with others. Feel free to share information as to where the support group may be in the area. Blessings! Brenda:thumbup1:- Is it normal?...
I am having the same issue.. 5 weeks out.. and not a pound loss in the last week.. The first 4 weeks was awesome!! 33 lbs with no problems.. Help.. Help. Help.. intake about 600 calories daily, water intake about 40oz daily.. Help!!- Stall!!!!
Thanks very much for this post!!! I am at the same point with a stall!! I am 5 weeks out and the first 30 days I dropped 33 lbs!!.. now, this week appears to be nothing and just has got be crazy!! I am following the rules.. Eating about 600 cal daily (if that), water intake 40 oz. Protein and fish has been the name of the game; but, things are definitely very, very slow now.. Any suggestions would be help.. ( I know, I trying not to become paranoid.. but, cannot help it. .- Colon Hydrotherapy????
I have personally had several colon therapies pre surgery.. but, just wondering how this would be post op. I am 1 month out and was thinking about 1 recently. I am not as regular as I was prior to surgery. Also, the experience is not as bad as it seems. It really is another option to cleanse and continue on a journey of healthy living. Yes, there are things on the market; but, they are not as effective as having gallons and gallons of water run through you like the colon cleanse. If anyone has had one post op, I would be really be interested in knowing how was the experience. Was it more painful or what?? Thanks- Georiga Sleevers
Hello.. Just wanted to start a Roll Call for all those who live in GA who may have had or recently considering the Sleeve. Anyone out there interested in signing up for a Georiga Sleeve:thumbup1: Club??- 700 sleeves and no leaks
Just another echo here for Dr. Aceves!!! I was in the hospital the same timeframe has Julester and fell in love w him!!! I have worked in a various hospital leadership positions and without question found this hospital to be the best staff in terms of care, service and experience!!! When can anyone say that the actually enjoyed a hospitalization experience? Well, until I me Dr A., I can fully and equicovally say "I enjoyed every minute!!!" I would recommend him in a heart beat!!!- Just got sleeved
Can anyone describe day TWO as everyone has posted that it is the worst. What would you compare this to?? Childbirth??? Hit by a Bus?? what?? (just trying to wrap my head around this before I am sleeved next week).. Thanks!- Scared to death!
Thanks very much Lee!!! I am hanging on to many of your post as you have been insightful and motivating to me. Hopefully, I can one day be like you and continue to motivate others!. I will certainly keep you updated on my progress.- Scared to death!
Wow!!! this is an awesome post.. I am beginning to wonder do we need a support group for those who are 1 week away from surgery, 2 weeks aways from surgery, 3 weeks away from surgery, etc. (trying to lighten our topic and bring humor just a bit) (smile) I, too, will be having surgery within a week and have 100% all of the emotions that each of you may have. I am wondering: "Did I really try to lose weight for all of these years", "I am totally confident in my decision", etc. I am a single parent also with a new granddaughter is my heart. Each time I reply my decision, I come back to my reasons for considering and contemplating the surgery. While each of us have our own decisions, my decisions are that I want to be the healthest and BEST Brenda that I can be!!!.. I am not doing this to become a size 4 and look like a Beyounce or some movie star! I am doing this because my weight has been a burden for far to long. I have denied it my weight issues for far too long. I have overcompensated for my weight issues for far too long. And, I cannot continue to say that my weight at 290 lbs is just a "figment of my imagination". It is not healthy and I cannot get control of it doing things which I have previous done. I need a tool which can assist me portion control and help me evaluate everything which I eat. In turn, all of my work towards execerising and choosing different choices will allow me to "see" the health benefits. I am soo very sorry for this long post; however, the question just became therapy for me to write and share my fears and emotions with this group. To all my veterans sleevers, I just sooo thank you for your support in helping me understand and share experience on weight. Hopefully, I can one day help others as you guys have helped me. My sleeve date is March 19, 2010 and I ask for all prayers as well. @ Breek.. know that God places people and decisions in your life for a reason, season and purpose. Please consider and contemplate your decision as ask yourself which direction (i.e "Is your weight lost journey for a reason, season or purpose") to help you find solice in your decision. Be always Blessed, my friends and new family, until next time.. Brenda Dr. Aceves March 19, 2010 - The Real Journey Begins....- 700 sleeves and no leaks
This is an awesome post and I am glad that he is my surgeon as well. I am leaving next Thursday on my way and this post has also reconfirmed my research as well. I also like the honesty that he has not had one yet as we all know that things can happy. I am going to need your support and prayers while I embark upon this journey and I will do the same for each of you in return. @ Bona, please send me your email as I would love to stay in touch with you!.. Peace and Blessings to you all! Brenda Dr. Aceves March 19, 2010 - The Real Journey Begins....- Sleeve Date, March 19, Please describe the Pain
