  1. I agree... it is great to have more energy and no nanna naps, although I find that just lately I have started to burn the candle at both ends, so I might indulge in a little nap out of choice not need..lol
  2. Hiya all, ....three months today was my op, and I thought I would put a little update! :thumbup1: I have now lost a total of 34lb and on average that is 11lb a month, which is really good for me. Previously, I struggled to lose 7lbs in three months so despite me being a 'slow' loser, I am still losing...lol I am offically a thrid of the way to goal and that feels great! I am fitter, faster and have more energy; my clothes are lose and I am down a full two dress sizes. I am starting to enjoy life again and this is the whole reason that I had the op done inthe first place. I have given myself little mini goals and that keeps me on track when my weekly weigh in is slow or disappointing; I feel that I need this to keep me motivated and remind me that this is a long journey. I am 3lb away from onederland, and once there I am going to start swimming with my kids! I am getting a lot of positive feedback from friends and work friends (most of which don't know about the op as I chose not to tell them) and I starting to accept these kind words; I suppose my self esteem is improving along with my health! I am fast approaching my 40th birthday, next April, and I would love to be near goal for then... to be able to wear my dream outfit with confidence would be the ultimate birthday present!! Here's to the next three months...CHEERS!!
  3. Just thought I would give a little update on here... three months exactly today; I weighed and this week...(drum roll please)... I am down 4lbs....yey!! Glad to see that as it sort of makes up for the slow weeks. I took the advice and started to track my food and the first day I noticed that I only ate 535 cals... and that was with 2 hours of exercise... I increased my calorie content, felt much better and had a good weight loss this week. Not sure it will continue at this pace, but thought I would let you all know and thank you for the good advice ... x
  4. hey Chilo, go for it... it is loads of fun and a real good work out... if I can do it...lol... I am sure you'll love it too... OH and update your ticker...lol xx
  5. Hey, I've started Zumba ... and yes it is fast, yes it is hard work... but I LOVE IT!!! Really good fun and I build up a huge sweat whilst being able to breath... fantastic!! xx
  6. Oh Chilo, that is fantastic... WELL DONE!! I am really chuffed for you ... keep up the good work x
  7. Hi Classiladi, yea me too... I hit the stall and then some... it started to come off again slow but sure... try not to worry too much - although easier said than done!! And I agree it is really frustrating... whilst I was in my stall I tried to focus on the positive stuff ... the NSV etc, that helped me get through it. Good luck, and I am sure it will break soon x
  8. Carrie, that has really cheered me up...heheheheeeee! x
  9. Sassie, sorry to hear about your complications... I hope you feel better sooner than later... all the best xx
  10. hey sleeve for me, I have mentioned it to my nurse, and she didn't really seem overly concerned!! I am due to see my surgeon again in a few weeks so if my lil friend hasn't come I will mention it again... it has been about 9 weeks now!! I have had some of my usual symptoms but nothing else!!
  11. I'm a Welshwoman, married to an Englishman...lol!! :thumbup1:
  12. Hey, Glad this is all normal as I haven't seen anything since July 14th (is that too much information...lol) and I am 11 weeks post op now... sorta missing my lil friend and just want her to come along, say hello, and bugger off again!!!! Heheheeee x
  13. to feel good; to love life; to enjoy every moment, not wishing it away... I LOVE THIS THREAD... to be able to wear my Robbie Williams tee shirt ... one day!!
  14. Hiya Mellissa, I too am 5 2 but I was heavier at 238 on the day of surgery, I am now 207. I recovered really well, no major problems. I was tired a lot in the first 3 weeks and found that I did a lot of nanna napping; I also found it uncomfortable to lie on my side so I spent three weeks propped up in bed! Apart from that all good as regarding recovery... Good luck for the 23rd x
  15. Chilo, awwww thank you... I don't feel that pretty at the moment mind...lol ... I thought I should put a pic on just incase peeps thought I was a bloke... as Cooper is my surname, my hubby also gets called Coops!!!
  16. Thanks Cheri, I think you're right... I will defo have a look and track it for a day or so... are you on a three meal a day type-thing... that is what my surgeon has told me to do with no snacks, but I notice on here there are a lot of sleevers who eat 5-6 times a day... it can be way confusing...lol and now another vent... my bloody ticker doesn't work properly... I lost a pound this week and sooooo want it to show...hahahaaaa
  17. Hey, I had no pre op diet... my surgeon didn't recommend one, so I didn't follow one..lol... I know other surgeons are different though. I am in Wales, so we are a little behind England, and although, my Dr recommended the surgery and applied for me to do it on the NHS I was declinded because I was too small (yeah, righto!) and I had no serious medical complaints. I had to go private, and got a loan out to pay for it! I don't regret doing that as I am feeling the benefits... How far along the process are you?
  18. Hiya, yep, like Chilo, Uk too... I am 11 weeks out and doing ok... I have never lost weight like this, despite doing various diets etc... this is a great forum with loads of good advice... any questions ask away!! =]
  19. Coops: You have had a heck of a time the entire time since surgery, haven't you? Your body just does not want to let go of your weight. Maybe tracking would help, though I admit it's a pain and I hardly do it myself anymore. I'd say fatsecret is fairly easy to use and I love that they let you count net carbs. None of them are exactly fun to use but it might help you out. I hope it gets easier for you and you get a surprise drop in weight soon. Hey Cheri, thanks... although the actual op and recovery was really smooth for me, I know what you are saying...I don't feel as if I have 'settled' completely as my weight loss is so inconsistent and therefore I have no pattern, if that makes sense... in the last 5 weeks I have lost 9lb, which is good, but that has been really sporadic... basically I lost the most weight in the first 3weeks and things have just really slowed down. I do tend to focus on the positive, but sometimes I am glad that I have this forum to have a vent and then move on! I will have a look at tracking, see how it goes... might be worth a try but I have done it pre-sleeve and got wat toooooo obessed...lol. I am wondering if I might not be eating enough... just have to keep doing what I am doing, and as long as it doesn't increase, I should, bascially, stop moaning...lol...
  20. whooooo hooooo... excellent news... x
  21. Chilo, just had a thought... I know you are back in the gym... have you seen fitness tv on sky? There are quite a few really good work outs on there... I have sky+ my favs, so instead of wasting money on dvds I do those... the combat cardio is really good but there are loads more... just a thought! x
  22. Yey sleeve sisters... I love it!!! You are doing amazing, your starting weight is pretty much, give or take a pound, where I am now... and I have to be honest that I am desperate to get into the onderland zone!!! However, I did have a NSV today, as I bought a pair of jeans that are a size smaller, thinking 'oh I will wear these in a week or two'. I had to try them on, and they fit!! Ok, so they are a little tight, but I think that is because all my other stuff is so loose!! I posted on your other thread... I really think a hobby is a great idea... do you work? Since I have started back to work, I know that things are a hundred miles an hour now.. but so far I am not as tired as I normal and I haven't had a nanna nap, yet! I have been exercising too and that is a great feeling; to do some cardio and not feel like a baby elephant is sat on my chest!! One other thing that has been on my mind is my ToTM.... I haven't seen anything since 14th July and I am wondering if the old hormone thing is playing around with my weight too... dunno, might just be me being paraniod and desperate to see the scale move in a more modest way!!! x
  23. Lisalu, I agree with the others... but a hobbie is a great idea... I love to draw and paint, when I get the time, and I find it gives me a great sense of satisfaction... it stops me thinking of 'stuff' and keeps my hands busy too... but anything that keeps your mind occupied will work... let us know what you decide x
  24. Hey, I use linseed/flax seed in its normal form... a small spoonful, with a glass of water... works like a dream, nice and easy!!! x
