  1. mix it at room temp,,if the liquid is too hot,,it will clump. You can also use a wisk,,that helps as well as a shake cup that has the spring ball in it that is for mixing really well.
  2. Ssilian..If you do a resistance excercise, they make a contraption..they sell them on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Neckline-Slimmer-Portable-Exerciser-Neck-Line-Tighten-Thin-Chin-Jaw-Massager-/170789523396?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c3d94fc4 ,,but I don't have one but going to get one. For now, I use my own hands to push against under my chin and hold it 10 seconds,,I do this several times a day. My double chin is gone after losing 50 pounds and I am 47.
  3. Never tried Jicama..give it a try! and let me know
  4. Thank you..and good luck! I want it handy..I keep craving carbs and think if it gets bad enough,,I have my plan in advance
  5. I've done a search a dozen different ways and can't find missdiva's bootcamp. Can someone send me the link?
  6. Day 11..wow..you are doing amazing! You can make it through this. I will be praying for you!
  7. All kinds, boston, butter, iceburg, radachio (spelling),,spinach works too. I like romaine. Some have the large vein down the center that crack when you wrap but you can use the leaf like a scoop or taco shell shape.
  8. You're still going to get feelings of hunger,,when you are actually hungry. The sleeve is working because you were able to only eat a few bites. If you are full and continue to want to eat, that is head hunger. Spread it out and eat small amounts through the day so you don't over stuff your sleeve and you don't stay so hungry. I go through the same thing..some never get hungry..but I spread my meals and snacks out through the day in small amounts and it's really helped me..and I don't feel like food is sitting in my throat.
  9. My goodness, you look so pretty and I think you look younger!
  10. I'm so sorry, I hope you didn't think I was insuating that you smoke or drink. Leukoplakia can be due to several different reasons. Please let us know how you are doing..hope all is well. If it's ketosis, i read upping your carbs will help.
  11. You're not pooping the party.lol I love hearing all these ideas,,I love lettuce wraps and that's yet another way to enjoy yummy stuff without the guilt of a fatty outer layer.
  12. By the way,,you can mix the bullets with flavored sf crystal lite,,you'll get your liquids and protein and it tastes good.
  13. I'm so sorry that you've been through so much. My leak wasn't quite as involved as yours but I can relate somewhat. I was on tpn and healed nicely. I'm doing really well as you will too, you'll see. It sounds like you are already on the road to recovery. Your healing will just take some time so take it a day at time and with all the support here and lots of prayers, you will do great!
  14. I have autoimmune problems so I've heard alot of terms,,have you ever heard of leukoplakia? It can be caused by low Vit A, B-12, C & folic acid among alot of other conditions or bad habits such as smoking or drinking (not that you do..just saying). I've had this condition before due to prednisone. It's also called,,don't laugh.."hairy tongue"...yours may be something different but just sounds similar the way you describe it.
  15. Awesome attitude,,you're going to do great!
  16. I'm a little over 3 months out. I had a leak so I had regrets,,but since I recovered and at a steady pace of weight loss, feeling better and looking good,,I am happy. I'm still an addict.. sometimes I miss the fact I could eat what I want in any amount but I DON'T miss following through with it and the result of doing that. Dr. Weiss..Georgetown Bariatrics
  17. oopsy..lol Glad you're ok!
  18. The original recipe calls for plain pork bacon,,you want some fat on there...yes,,it's yummier.lol
  19. I've never had picante flavored,,yum! Sorry that didn't work out for you Try the regular kind..see if that makes a difference. They didn't give me a problem and I had them with refried bean casserole.
  20. what did you eat them with?
  21. You can have about any cream soup or pudding. I pureed homemade potato and veggie soup. You can puree most anything as long as it doesn't remain chunky and keep it thinned out. I also ate cream of wheat thinned out during full liquids week. I'd either cheese it up or have it sweetened with a little honey and butter. Sf pudding pops or sf fruit bars,,check your frozen section.
  22. Try the broth of wonton soup, it's delicious and satisfying,,and a clear liquid but doesn't taste like fake chicken broth. Let a family member eat the wontons.
  23. Marinate Water chestnuts in soy sauce over night. Wrap them in a half slice of turkey bacon,,slide a toothpick through them to hold the bacon on and bake for about 15-20 minutes in 400 degree oven. Makes a healthy snack or great for a party. I read.."Chestnuts also have the Heart Foundation tick of approval"
  24. Try pork rinds next time you have a mexican night. Tastes wonderful in a taco salad or to scoop up a refried bean casserole. Per serving,,100 calories less as well as 0 carbs versus 27g in a single taco shell...and a whopping fabulous 8g of protein per serving which is 1/2 ounce.
