  1. I'm the original poster and I listed all the instructions,,just look for my photo and read what I posted. You need to post your current weight,,then weigh in again this coming Sunday before midnight. I will announce a winner on Monday in a seperate post.
  2. Deadline was last night at midnight but I'm going to change the rules since we have about a dozen latecomers. You guys that check in late are losing a time to lose weight but if you want to play this week, that's the deal. We will still be weighing in again this coming Sunday,,NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT or you won't be eligible. I have to stick to some kind of rules or it won't be a challenge..really glad to see so many playing.
  3. I I think several squeaked in.lol Yes, it's fine since this is the 1st challenge and we're making up the rules as we go. Next challenge rules will be more strict. Good luck this week..welcome to the challenge.
  4. The deadline for weigh in is up,,let the games begin. See each of you Sunday for the next weigh in and Monday in a new post listing the winner. Please weigh in before midnight Sunday Good luck everyone!!
  5. yeah,,less than 2 weeks after me. Anytime you need to talk to someone, I'd be glad to listen if you're having a bad day
  6. It might take others longer to overtake their demons to help them cope with food issues..such as myself. I found out there are several different types of eaters,,unfortunately I eat due to emotions and for over 45 years I've become a food addict because of every bad thing that has happened in my life, I've chosen food to help me overcome. I have been in therapy for years,,even before I ever thought about surgery. The surgery has helped me to come to grips with food once and for all though.. I'm losing so I must be doing something right but surgery hasn't made it that much easier for me psychologically.
  7. We will see how it goes after the 1st week,,so far it looks like a good turn out!
  8. You go girl..you can do it!
  9. I've had to go to therapy. It's still a struggle for me though..I really understand where you are coming from. When was your surgery? I think we're close in dates.
  10. I weighed in at 235.8 this morning.
  11. Talk to your surgeon about the pain in your left arm. Is it just in the joint or all over? I don't mean to scare you at all,,but a symptom of a leak can be left shoulder/arm pain. It was one of the first symptoms I had.
  12. Yeah, you can't use the forums unless you login with a password you made up.
  13. Yay! We can post here. Weigh ins will end on both Sundays at midnight (in your area). I'll weed everything out and announce the winner in a new post sometime on Monday the 18th where everyone can go to cheer on the winning loser
  14. How much time in between bites? If I'm concious of what I'm doing,,really pay attention I wait about 30 seconds in between,,is this sufficient?
  15. Either no one is reading the post or not any takers but you and me, Patrick.lol
  16. I agree with alliegb3. Your mom has seen you a certain way for a period of time and now you are skinny..healthy skinny. I think it takes our loved ones as long to get used to our new bodies as it takes for us to lose the weight. Just give her time to get used to the new you. And remember she is mom,,she's going to be critical about your health and always, always give her opinion God love em..I miss mine.
  17. I have no idea, I struggle too. I've tried having conversations, reading, house chores..nothing seems to work. I get that feeling of food being stuck alot. I have swallowing issues due to medical problems so for the life of me, I can't keep from drinking while eating. Eating is not a pleasant experience for me anymore, however,,I still want to overeat sometimes.
  18. I'd like to challenge anyone who wants to join in to a week weigh in to see who's the biggest loser. Since this week is almost over, we can start this Sunday the 10th and get the results on the 17th. The winner will get recognized in a seperate post with congratulatory messages. I kinda get motivated when I have a challenge so hope I win. Anyone interested? Also, sleeve4me has a super saturday weigh in post that's alot of fun too where you can keep track of your losses. I've been tracking since February!
  19. My heart goes out to you and I wish you quick healing..many thoughts and prayers as well. I think you should call a lawyer too.
  20. sleeve523, did you see a nutritionist through your process before getting the surgery? She/he should've given you a program to follow. You back slid a bit. I see a therapist that really helps me with my food addiction. We didn't get this way just by eating what we like, there is a reason we over eat. When you can't make a support group or they are too far ahead and you need help, you would have the therapist that you could call..just a suggestion. Glad you came here for help, don't know if you got the answers you were looking for but hope it shed some light.
  21. Great news, a relief from stress I'm sure. Hope all stays good and no future problems.
  22. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. If you had your procedure today, did you find out anything?
  23. You had a bad start, make tomorrow count. Wake up with the thoughts of why you decided to do this and push forward. I agree with the rest of the posters, sounds like a drop in sugar..contact your doc and I'm sure he'll have them set up a meal plan that meets your needs. Good luck!
  24. My thoughts and prayers going out to you!
