I will try to track my calories as you both advised....anything that might get me to budge that scale! I know eating late at night is BAD as it's been a long time bad habit...I just need to learn to go to bed!! I appreciate all of your encouragement and wise words of wisdom!

I have not lost more than a few pounds in months! I don't feel as if I eat much quantity, always protein...I do get into triouble late at night with grazing behavior but there again, even if not a great choice, not a large amount. I walk 30-60 min. every day (almost) and do weight training three days per week. I see I was talking about getting into the 100's back in the fall but am still not there...anyone have plateau breaker ideas?????????
  3. Be careful..sometimes water makes it worse as there's no room for it to go! Raising your arms can help...and learning to "read" your body's cues before it's too late.
  4. Glad to hear your fill was easy...my first in in a couple weeks. Keep us posted as to how it feels! Best of luck!
  5. I agree with BG...you have done a great job so far so remember what worked in the first few months and go back to the basics until you feel back on track. One day at a time!! Hang in there...
  6. Can't believe that it has almost been 4 weeks since my surgery. I lost a lot that first week and a half and then it all came to a screeching halt! I actually gained a few pounds which was really frustrating when I was eating so little. I quit weighing every day coz I was making myself crazy-darn hormones....low and behold I got on the scale today and had lost back those 3 plus an extra! Finally. Hopefully it will continue to drop off before another plateau comes along! Was hoping to be in Onederland by Christmas...21 lbs to go...hmmmm. We'll see. I'm anticipating my first fill in a couple of weeks which is kind of scary.....all in all everything is going well!

  12. The pre-op diet does help rein in the "last supper" syndrome!! I lost 10 lbs on pre-op and sixteen the first two weeks after surgery...I figure it will slow down now....hang in there and do exactly what they tell you!

Also, our bodies need to "regroup" every now and then...thus, the plateau. It WILL come off! I have heard only a day or two of liquids after a fill, but I haven't had one myself yet! Hang in there!
  17. I, too had very little pain, more of a soreness...never ever took pain meds. Today was my first day of blended food and I feel a little different...not quite queasy but not quite right...We'll see how dinner goes...I'm sure I'll adjust! This is an amazing adventure!
  18. I just got banded last week and the pain was minimal...I never used any pain meds after the initial ones I was given in recovery. It's more of a soreness! YOU CAN DO IT!!
  19. This is soo awesome...rermember that old saying? "nothing tastes as good as losing wieght feels!" It's like a high...I'm down 50+...how have you handled the changes in clothing sizes? Can't afford new wardrobes every 20 lbs..any tips?
  20. I can't figure it out either!!

Congratulations! I had my procedure two days before you...I wish you well as you recover and we both start our new lives towards health!
  22. You are certainly on your way and the time is going to go by whether or not you are doing this soooo you might as well DO it. I had to do 3 months for the insurance and lost 42 lbs before my surgery which was this past Tuesday. I figured, if the goal is to lose weight then use every opportunity that comes along-no sense waiting until the surgery...start today! So far, so good...I am excited about this new tool and the ability it will give me to lose 100 more lbs and finally have a life! Hopefully full of good health. I wish you well...one day at time!

Congratulations on your loss and shirt size! that is the fun part and I can't wait! I lost 42 lbs before surgery (which was Tuesday) so have a jumpstart. I think I am recovering fine. I too had that shoulder pain the first couple of days. When did you get your band? The walking is great-it has been raining since I came home from the hosital so will have to wait for that to end! Keep up the good work!
  25. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now things will move really fast! My surgery is tomorrow morning and I can't believe it is finally here....truly the first day of the reswt of my life! Good luck through the prep-phase!
