    Any April Surgery Dates?

That's funny. I thought I got the wrong surgery. A sleeve instead of a gastric bypass. Reason being, at my first follow up, I told the doc my incision on right side was still painful. He said it was normal because that's where they remove the stomach at. I'm like wait..... didn't you give me a bypass??? After I got home, I was a bit paranoid about it. Even the nurse mentioned sleeve so I went so far as to check with my insurance and doctor's notes to make sure I got the correct procedure. I guess the sleeve is performed more often nowadays so my Bariatric team assumed till they looked closer at my notes. Geez, what a faux pas.

I’m so sorry you are struggling & don’t seem to be getting any real answers from your surgeon. I wish I had answers for you. I’d probably go to an emergency centre (may be at the hospital where you had your surgery if it’s close by - might force the surgeon to really look at yi & yiur circumstances). Hopefully they will then organise a variety of tests to see what’s going on. Certainly rehydrating you via IV as @MountainClover suggested wouldn’t hurt. I hope you gets some answers & help soon. All the best.

I’m so sorry to hear of your difficulties after surgery. This sounds like more than one should have to experience. I am not a physician however I do work in healthcare. Maybe some of these symptoms can be attributed to the surgery, but perhaps you also have a gastrointestinal illness as well. You did mention flu-like symptoms, do you also have fever? I truly hope your providers look further into your case. I’m so sorry you don’t feel heard. Best wishes.

i'm 4.5 yrs post op now, so NSV's come few and far between, but every now and then a new one will pop up: yesterday i was sitting on a chair scrolling through my phone when i dropped it in my lap. i shut my thighs to catch it, it landed on one if my thighs, then it slipped right through between them and fell to the floor. my knees felt a little knocked, and i was thinking damn, i hope my apple-care warranty is still valid, then i realized whoa, my thighs are smaller than i think. p.s. my phone is ok! 😂

Crossing my legs is a top 5 NSV for me. It's awesome. I can cross them now and they stay there on their own. I LOVE to cross my legs. 😍❤️
