    Tomorrowโ€™s the big day!

Thank you. Came home today. Walked a lot. While I constantly read about this and figured I knew, some parts you still cannot prepare for. I knew Iโ€™d be up more (read things about insomnia), but I didnโ€™t know a lot. Everyoneโ€™s body is different so you canโ€™t fully prepare. You jest through and, passing gas will be your best friend in the world (something I never thought I would say). Good luck to everyone and let us know how it goes. Iโ€™ see plenty of open spots on the losers bench waiting for everyone to come and lose the weight ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    Canโ€™t eat

I am not quite 3 years out and only have issues if I overeat dense foods (like chicken). I would suggest calling your surgeon and getting checked out immediately. Something doesn't sound right.

4ounces by weight or volume ?

Buy a scale. I found out 4 oz of chicken is a lot more meat than 4 oz of steak as the meats and foods can be denser. If I would have guessed I would have been wrong so the scale is really working for me. It also๏ปฟ teaches me what 4 oz looks like. Good luck! I'm 3 months out and halfway to my goal. During the "honeymoon" period I have been very strict and cautious as this is the time to lose.

    BMI IS 35

My BMI is 35.7. 5'2 weighing 195. I'm in my 40s with hypertension, prediabetes, and psuedotumor cerebri. All 3 were listed as comorbidities. I have Horizon Omnia insurance and hope as I begin this journey that I will be approved for surgery. My initial consultation is in a few weeks so I would love to get a heads up on the process as well link up with others who have had similar stats. I wonder if I will lose too much weight. I don't think I would look right under 130lbs. Any input, suggestions, and advice is appreciated. Thank you[emoji4] Sent from my LG-LS998 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Incision glue

I wiped mine with a wet wash cloth and then gently pulled it off at 3 weeks. Incision should be well closed by now. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    24. It was a long work day and when I got home, I learned that my dogs had escaped and run the neighborhood. Apparently, they snuck back under the fence just before I got home. So glad my neighbors told me. So, everyone is now wearing their invisible fence collars including the puppy. I don't remember how I did with social media that day but was barely on it on Friday because I was at a workshop all day. 25. Workshop all day with gym during the lunch break. 26. Workshop all day with gym during the lunch break. Also reached out to some old friends in anticipation of heading home for Thanksgiving. Didn't get a chance to do a photo walk but definitely saw lots of beautiful colors and possibilities driving back and forth to the workshop. 27. Workshop most of the day. Drove through a horrible rain storm and nearly ran out of gas. I stopped at a gym on the way home and that helped me de-stress. I got constructive feedback from one of the assistants at the workshop. Oh, yeah, and did some abs while at the gym. 28. Gym this morning and now work. I've been doing journaling at the yoga training and at the workshop I'm participating in. B-side: Back to basics sounds wonderful! I feel like I have the exercise thing going on right now between the gym and the yoga. But I'm anxious about keeping things moving on the scale and not falling into bad habits so yes, back to basics really sounds like something I can get into especially with the holiday season and shorter days coming up.

    pre surgery diet

clear broth, protein shakes and SF jello popcicles. my surgeon had me go with protein shakes that were only 15-20g each that way i could have up to 5-6 a day.. he just wanted the protein to be no more than 120g a day.
