    2 days post off

It will get significantly better each day. By day 4 I was not even taking any more pain meds. By day 10, feeling great. If you don't notice significant improvement with pain by day 4 or 5, you should reach out to your doctor. Also, if you have a fever, can't keep anything down, or are short of breath, you should reach out to your doctor. What pain meds were you sent home with?

    Week 1 of VSG Journey

Last Friday at 12:30pm I had my vsg procedure. Everything went smooth. I was walking within 30 minutes, and sipping Water. I was released around 6pm. The first evening was a bit painful from the gas, and I slept in a recliner. I was able to sip on more water. Day 2 similar in gas pain. Gas X and walking helped a lot. I have no issues getting 60 - 70 oz of liquids. I primarily drink water, but like the sugar free Popsicles, Jello and broth. My only issue now is lower back pain. I have an appointment with my pcp today, so I will inquire with her. I have no issues with getting in Protein. Right now I'm using EAS shakes (vanilla & chocolate), and typically in the morning I have a premier shake from Walmart. I like to start with premier because it has 30g of protein. I add GENEPRO Protein powder to broth, and have made up a blender concoction with it. My blender drink is ice, skim milk (3oz), genepro (tsp), and chocolate EAS shake. I am currently down 18lbs. This may sound like a lot, but my doctor didn't have the pre op diet. So I'm prepared for it to slow down soon. Height 6'7 SW 372 CW 354 GW 260 SW 372 GW 260

    Excercise post vsg

Do anything that won't put pressure on your abs (squats may strain your abs and increase abdominal pressure which strains the sutures and your healing stomach). Those muscles will be sore for weeks.

    Dating after surgery..

I had my surgery on 1-23 of this year. I had to really thought about it to be honest. I figured just explaining how heavy I used to be would explain enough. If you want to go further, just let them know you made a decision for your health. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

[emoji256] so they are letting you eat meals other than liquid protein. That's awesome.
