This is about me, not you.

I am doing the surgery with a low BMI too. 19 days until surgery. I have told my mother and son. That's it. No one from work or anyone else. I have gained every year. Just 5 years ago I weighed 50 pounds less. I know the way I was coping was a losing battle. I am tired. I want my body back. I want to smile. I want to get dress and not put something back because it won't go over my thighs. I want to stop buying cheap clothes on sale because they fit. I want to go to the beach and wear a swimsuit. I want to actually look in the mirror instead of rushing past it because I don't like the reflection. You are not alone. This is about you. It is your turn. STALLS!!! [emoji35]

So I'm 4 weeks post op & I have been eating soft foods just fine for about a week. However, I think I may have hit a stall? My weight has been fluctuating between 5lbs since about the start of week 3. It'll go up 5lbs, then back down. But for the last few days, it's been fluctuating just a few ounces. Can someone tell me if I've hit a stall? I'm not sure if a stall means your weight just stays the same, or if you're not losing anymore past a certain point. I'm quite frustrated but I'm trying not to be because #1 I've just started eating soft foods. #2, it's still early & #3 I should just stay off the scale. Though, inches wise, I'm not losing either. It's just frustrating because I'm working out, eating a sufficient amount of calories, and the only thing I can think of is Protein. Maybe I'm not getting in enough (I don't get in the recommended 60 daily ) I guess my ultimate question is: Is this normal to stall this early on?! When did you stall?! How did you break it? Psych Cleared! Now what?!

OMG OMG OMG I AM PSYCH CLEARED!! CLEARANCE SENT TO MY SURGEON ON MONDAY!! I'M A NORMAL CRAZY PERSON!! I was so worried!! About how long did it take you to get a surgery date after psych clearance? I have united healthcare insurance. What do I need to start doing to prepare more for surgery? Stock up on anything?

    two and half years out

I have heard of this on this, Several times, on BP. And if I remember correctly, it was around the 2 year mark. Personally, I have not experienced it. Maybe get hold of your nutrionist from your bariatric team for suggestions. I specifically remember at least one person coming back and mentioning the issue had resolved, but can't recall how. On another note, it's great you have maintained your weight, relatively well. I never got down to my goal weight and have regained about 11 pounds! It's a real struggle to get it off.

    Question for the ladies:

I hope I lessen what I have some. I'm 42G and would love to shrink down to a D or C cup. That would be great. ♡ Elysia

Thank you for the great responses. Logging may be in my future if I find that I am not loosing without it. I've done it before, but I love to cook and mix things and it becomes very difficult to try to figure out things that aren't listed, or things with multiple ingredients that I didn't weigh first. I just went over my monthly weight loss from November, December and January, 8, 3 and 6 respectively. And 2 this morning. I agree about the consistency of workouts and meditation also. I think slowing down and focusing on our next steps is helpful. Will keep these tips in mind. Thanks again

9 Months and the Game is Changing

As others have said, the best way of keeping track of calories is to keep a log. The least painful way of doing this is through an app and I find the MyPlate app is very helpful, it works everything out for you, not only calories but fat, Protein and carb content.
