    Small Non Scale Victory

I had an interview yesterday. As a human resources professional it bothers me when the host doesn't ask the interviewee if they prefer to use the elevator or take the stairs. You never know if someone might have joint issues, heart problems, or anything else. We are after all HR and should keep these things in mind. Okay off my soap box. I was impressed that my host asked if I would prefer the elevator to which I said no. As we turn the corner I see that the stairs are actually one long staircase that was about 3 floors high. I was really excited that I could walk up the stairs, carrying my briefcase, and holding a conversation without gasping for breath. Oh and I got the job! Hurray. I have to go shopping this weekend because some of my pants are really to big.

Glad you found us! This is a great place for support. I found it shortly before my surgery. I don't do many shakes, my surgeon prefers that I eat my calories. But I do keep some around for if i am bored with my diet, or just too lazy to eat. Ever think I'd be too lazy to eat?? Nope, never!!! Another victory the band has given me.

    Getting Banded March 9Th

I dont see any reason you won't be able to ride once everything heals. I hardly ever even think of feeling different at this point when it comes to physical stuff. Everything is just better. Your horse will be happier too.

    Alcohol?

Some people will tell you no, but I can't see how an occasional glass of wine will do a bit of harm as long as we use our common sense.

    Nervous About Going Under

im also 5'3, and my goal is 140 lb too, or if its meant to be , 125 lbs. i was just banded mid december, im down to 208 from 225. feeling pretty dang good even though its a slow weight loss, it still a healthy weight loss so ill take what i can get ! being banded has been a breeze so far, surgery day was no exception. i arrived at the hosp at 5;45am, they put a iv in my arm , i chatted with the nurses and dr as they had me sign a few papers ,took my temp etc. they rolled me into the operating room at 8am and the next thing i know they woke me up at 9;30 and said youre done ! a little groggy and tired with really bad cottonmouth, but after ice chips and water, i left the hosp at 11am. the only pain was like a bad pulled muscle on my left side for 10 days. the whole thing was a breeze ! id do it again in a heartbeat ! good luck to you !
