I updated my old FitBit to the new Versa. Great sale on it at Costco! Also snagged some AirPods, which will be great for my walk/runs.

I have been exercising more than I have in years, and I really wanted a fitbit, so I am gifting myself one for Christmas. I haven't made a final decision which one yet, probably versa 2 or 3, but that is my post-op gift to myself this year. Do you have anything you are wanting or gifting yourself this holiday season?

I adore my Apple Watch. I had a FitBit years ago, which I could not love and ended up returning. I find the Apple Watch to be intuitive to use (iPhone and iPad user). I like to be able to glance at it to read texts without pulling out my phone. For activity tracking, I find all of the little reminders are annoying and motivating at the same time 😂 I use it to track all of my actual workouts, in addition to steps and general movements. I cannot speak to the modern FitBit, but I don’t plan on having anything other the an Apple Watch at this point.

    Insurance covering..

I had the panniculectomy portion of my tummy tuck covered by insurance...so basically I just had to pay for the lipo and muscle tightening, which was probably around 30% of the total cost had I had to pay for the entire TT. I am in Canada though, and this was covered by provincial insurance, and the requirements to qualify may be different with with U.S. based Monila/Medicaid. ...Just did a quick google search and it seems Medicaid does cover panniculectomies, but the rules vary by state. Best to call and find out for confirmation. Good Luck!

    Unsupportive Boyfriend

His comments make me very, very concerned that you are in an emotionally abusive relationship. You have been reasonable and talked things through. He has had a chance to "get it" and he's not taking it. Please, for the sake of your own healthy future (both physically and mentally), be careful. If you don't feel like you can leave, at least get into counseling with someone who can help you sort through your feelings and support the positive decisions you can make. I recently ended a 25 year marriage that included (mild) physical, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse. Life is sooo much better. Even the hard parts like the basement flooding are easier without having to work around him and be criticized the whole time. If you decide to leave, I promise, there will continue to be life, joy, and happiness afterwards. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G950U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Week 2 eggs

Scrambled eggs are soft, so they go down easy, even though they still need to be chewed thoroughly. I’d only do one egg though. I started them on week two and they were a pleasant change from protein shakes.

Thank you. I needed this. I feel like it is not moving or moving extremely slow. I know there is no one size fits all. I just wish I knew what size fits me.

    Revision due to GERD

Thank you Grace🙏 My surgery was actually 2014. It’s been so long that I forgot 😛 I recently had an arm lift, tummy tuck & breast lift. Which is another reason I don’t want to do it. I take omeprazole daily. I have not met with another surgeon. I’m sure it’s inevitable though😭

    Mental health

While your body is healing it's also releasing many hormones which could cause a temporary imbalance. As your body normalizes (as best it can) so will your hormones. If you still feel out of sorts, contact your surgeon and he may be able to give you something during this period.
