Yeah, you will notice that EVERYONE will seem to want to comment on your weight loss. It does get annoying.
How about an all-in-one response: โThanks for noticing, Iโm working on it!โ
A friend of mine gained back 60 lbs. seven years after her weight loss surgery. She was hovering at about 185 when she decided to take radical action to lose the weight. She began weighing and logging everything she ate and drank. She exercised more. And she became very careful about her diet -- giving up processed foods.
She is now back to 125 lbs. So it can be done.
Yeah, have to agree with all of the above. There are always options at every restaurant. I still eat with friends etc, but usually get a MUCH smaller plate in order to look like Im eating a normal amount. It also helps me fool myself in my head. Another thing I did recently when I was eating at a work dinner was eat what I could and then take the rest of the plate to the kitchen to get it away from me. Yeah, ppl were looking at my differently, but it was worth being able to just sit there and drink a cup of hot tea and socialize. It turns out that in the end ppl started drinking and I had a hilarious time watching them all drink. I sort of became the default designated driver and had such a fun time. So you just have to find a way through the challenge. You can do it!
Oh and considering Covid and all, you are actually helping everyone by eating at their or your home. So they might not even think it's about you at all and just a good thing to do considering the state of things.
Idk if they're on Bariatric pal, but premier protein shakes are pretty good. They've never had a weird taste to me. (atkins, slimfast some of fairlife's make me pretty sick) Quest protein are also pretty good if you can find them.
One that I've found that's also good is Fairlife High Protein shake in Vanilla. It tastes like melted ice cream. I like to pour it over some chilled decaf Chai Tea to make a chai tea latte/type drink. it's nice and sweet without the calories of a reg drink.
Hello Guys thanks for your help, really appreciated.
First help from Ortiz's clinic....(still supports me after 4 years), is arrived.
They suggest performing some tests to check if I have developed Hiatal Hernia.
I am already booked for:
- Gastroscopy
- Ultrasound for gallbladder stones
The symptoms are getting a little bit better since I only have very small food intake and mostly liquid, but extrasystole is there all-day.....3 beats 1 missing...so annoying, but I am getting used to it at this point, or at least I have to.
Down 10 pounds already in a week, feel tired.... the same feeling like the pre-op diet.. I hope this getting better soon.
Thanks for the support
Had removal of lapband and bypass surgery on the 11th. I seem to be doing ok for the most part.
Iโm on my 4 day of clear liquids and can move to full liquids on Thursday. I just ordered some Protein water to help with the lack of protein during the clear liquid stage so we shall see how that goes.
