Okay, I want my sleeve revised or maybe not? I have to go through a 6 month process. I am beeing seen by one of the top bariatric surgeons. So here are some positives: (1) I have not gain all my weight back. (2) Having another procedure does not guarantee my GERD will be completely eliminated. (3) I will work with a specialist for WLS patients with GERD. (4) Following this lifestyle, I can get healthier and lose more weight. (5) I am willing to do this for at least 6 months. (6) My hernia will continue to be monitored. (7) I will increase my exercise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

People lose their regain without more surgery! It IS definitely possible!!! You can do this!!! Especially since re-surgeries don't always have as much success from a weight regain as the original virgin surgery. And weight loss they say is slower for re-surgeries. Don't know if any of that is true or not, but I've seen MANY MANY MANY vets successful lose the regain by going back to their old low carb forever diet they followed right out of surgery and getting active again and planning, weighing/measuring/reporting-logging every bite that goes in their mouth. It's quite inspiring. I wish you well and will be cheering for you. Maybe it's even possible with weight loss, the GERD will calm down.

Thanks! I had the same arguments. However, I looked at some of his studies. He is one of the first doctors I can trust, "well a little." Tips so far, "eat slower, move more (I been counting my steps for awhile) I had stopped pushing forward and remember why I did this in the first place. Well, I added the last one. I will tell him if things get worse. They are monitoring me monthly starting Tuesday. I have an appointment with gastroenterologist bariatric specialists. I told myself that for years (that I can do it on my own with diet and exercise). Every time, I'd lose 40-50-60 lbs just to gain it back - and start the cycle over again. This went on for decades. I finally realized that no, I couldn't do it on my own. I'd tried and tried and it just didn't work. So I finally went through with the surgery. I've lost over 200 lbs and have been maintaining ever since. No way could I have done this on my own. I'd have this surgery again in a heartbeat!

    Walk me through your operation

Similar process as GreenTealael. Only difference was that since my surgery was a revision, they offered a epidural and that was done in the operating room. They also asked if I would be ok with a direct line in my neck as it would make injections and taking blood easier later. I said yes to both. 9 hours later I was waking up feeling like I was hit by a semi truck minus the broken bones. After recovery where your pretty out of it and I can barely remember much from it other then a nice nurse that hit a button when I said I hurt. They rolled me up to my room where I took inventory. Besides the incision site, I had 3 drains, Feeding tube coming out of my abdomen. What I didn't expect was my right leg and left arm were sore if not in pain. This was due to how I was laid on the operating table. The nurses were nice about it and provided ice packs to help recover. Your Milage May Vary though as all surgeries are different. Good Luck!
