Your program sure is not serving you well. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. You have figured out what to do. Any fluid should count towards your hydration. Good luck!!!!!

Total foodie here! I still eat out although the thrill isn’t what it used to be. I’m also much more selective. Hubby and I share plates a lot or I pack it up and have leftovers for days. I still cook my family’s favorite meals and experiment with Pinterest recipes, but I notice I’m not as set on the kids/ hubby finishing their portions. I also stick to my 1/2-3/4 cup portion. When I finish it, I’m done eating, regardless if I feel “hungry” or not. And if kid say they’re full, they’re full (and if they ask for a snack 5 minutes later, the answer is NO 😂!) I had RNY and I also do not dump. Strangely enough, I’ve always been insulin sensitive and had dumping syndrome prior to surgery but I have not dumped since surgery.

I don't know where you live, but where I am, CBD is a big thing. It's supposed to be wonderful for anxiety and more natural than xanax, etc. (though I take the xanax myself). I'm considering looking into CBD for my anxiety. I'm awaiting my surgery (I don't even have a date yet), so I can't relate to the head hunger just yet. I have been going to bariatric support groups, and they suggest keeping your hands busy, walking and all of that. Or a rewards system that doesn't include food (i.e., you didn't snack, give your self a marble and once the jar is full, you can buy the shoes you've been eyeing).

I have noticed that as I get further out from the surgery (10 months out this weekend) I am more susceptible to those less-than-satisfying foods, so I try to be cognizant of that. I love my Premier shakes to get my protein in on a rough day, but those do almost nothing to satisfy me now, where a few months ago they would have kept me full for a few hours. Unfortunately, my current issue seems to be more about compulsion and head hunger than any real satiety issues.

    Hitting a Plato vegetarian

Plateaus can happen for no/many reasons even sometimes when your body is pausing to adjust. But if it has been very long (6+ months) w/o weightloss you may have reached maintenance (I know it was quite hard for me to maintain strict vegetarianism while in the losing phase. I found mostly grain free ovo lacto pescaterian the best path for me with flexing in solid animal protein occasionally) To try and kickstart weightloss again perhaps you could take a look at your diet and weed out any problem foods (highly processed, high sodium, wheat fillers) Easy vegetarian foods are usually high calorie/carb. To avoid This you may need to use pure vegetarian protein sources (tofu, eggs) but reduce precooked packaged items as well as limit grains & legumes (if you eat them) Good Luck 💜

    DS statistics

Best decision ever. It's a little tricky to talk about actual number of lost lbs for me, since I'm a dude and I started working out on weights a ton, and getting semi-jacked. but what a difference this has made in my life. Transformative. You should feel confident. I deleted most of my "fat pics", but I attached something that should give a general vibe...

Foodies - honestly how bad is it?

We contemplate the need for surgery because we have a relationship with food that is not normal. You must examine that relationship very deeply, sure the surgery will physically restrict the food amounts, but after healing you can pretty much eat anything. So...the takeaway is that overeating is still possible if you graze and eat high calorie non-nutritious food. Your head and emotions will lie, cheat, and steal if don't examine that relationship with food. And don't be lulled by the honeymoon period because during the early months you can eat all kinds of food and still lose because of restriction. Don't test that. Follow the stages of eating progression. Look up Dr. Weiner, Dr. Duc Vuong on youtube, read their books. Good advice.
