    I CHEATED

yep - part of your ultimate success is due to the surgery, and part of it is due to you. People who rely on the surgery alone are rarely successful. This takes work! So....now you know!

    I CHEATED

OMG! I have cheated! I feel horrible! I had a tiny piece of carrot cake yesterday and a couple spoonfuls of banana pudding and my stomach didnt reject it! I'm horrified now because I thought I would never be able to eat sweets again! My stomach betrayed me and I betrayed myself! Now that Im feeling better Im noticing that my.addiction to sugar is still there. I cant fail myself! Ugh! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    I CHEATED

This. WLS won't help cravings in the long run (at least it's like that for most of us as it seems) and one should be making plans on how to deal with them. The food triggers are everywhere (except maybe your own home if you're the one deciding what foods to buy or not) and other people usually won't accommodate to your dietary choices as well. I also wonder what kind of surgeon or dietician tells a patient that he/she will never be able to eat sweets again.

    Frustrating weight loss

Search 3 week stall that can happen between weeks 2-6. It's a thing. You're doing great. Hang in there.

I can tell you what a difference the sleeve surgery has made for me at 54 years old in the last 8 months. I no longer have Sleep Apnea, Gerd, Acid Reflux, or High Blood Pressure. I've gotten rid of all of those comorbidities. I feel so much better and more confident. Good luck on your WLS journey.

    Protein bars

I have always been a protein bar for breakfast person. The thought of any other thing that early makes me gag. I love the Pure Protein Deluxe Chocolate, very satisfying. Also, I like Built Bars. They're 110 cal, 15g of protein and amazing flavor choices. The texture is quite "marshmallowy" so it's odd at first. I like them out of the fridge which firms them up.

    Is this normal?

Be sure to take your D3 and calcium together but apart from the multi. The calcium and iron don't go well together for absorption.

    Protein bars

Maybe it's a blessing that by far not all VEGA products are sold in Europe, LOL.

    Protein bars

I’m a big fan of the Oh Yeah ONE bars. I find most protein bars are too sweet now but the OYO Almond Bliss are less so and give an Almond Joy-ish kind of flavor when I’m too lazy to put together my own high protein meal.

    What to eat?

Have you tried the different flavored tuna packets? They can be good!
