I would agree. I just had the same surgery July 25th and I'm go grateful I did it. 8 days out I'm feeling great. You will love it.

    I'm so overwhelmed

Hi my name Kendra 39 years old. I'm new here . I go for my pre-op on Aug 8 and my surgery is Aug 25. 13 years ago I was diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia. I know having the surgery won't cure my illnesses, but I'm hoping the extra weight off joints gives me some relief. The hospital where I'm having my surgery is 3 hours away from where I live so worried about the ride home once I'm released.

I try not to have popcorn, but if I do, I'll get the 100 calorie pack. I am questionable when it comes to popcorn, so I turned that like over to pork rinds. They have protein, and are a healthy snack.

    Should I ?

You're asking strangers on the internet if you should do body altering, mind altering, life altering surgery? Maybe you should, you know, think about this yourself.

    Alcohol after Sleeve

I can not respond as an experienced person. Only from what I have learned from friends and other forum members. A few things: 1) Say goodbye to beer (carbonation) 2) You can drink after you heal, but expect to sip spirits watered down (non carbonated drinks, water/crystal light). 3) You should sip on this one drink as you will not be able to drink like you used to. You will get drunk MUCH quicker than before.

    Food Cravings

Cravings for a particular food are mental. Hunger will be satisfied by anything including your protein shakes. Are you on a protein pump inhibitor for acid? It can mimic hunger causing gnawing empty sensations

    Just getting started..

Thank smb123! I really appreciate that. The app is for either samsung or iPhone I have it on my iPad and my edge7. They sync to all your devices. As for my hubby, he will have to come around because I'm doing it either way lol. I'm 46 and too old to be told what to do! Plus I told him with this new back surgery and it fixing my spine I want to take care of my body and be mobile so I can go on walk around vacations and activites. We've been together for 15 years so he knows I'm right lol . I want to join a local group but the last time I had the lap band there were no local support groups. I have been on a few different bariatric sites and this one is great. People actually respond here! Any who thanks again for the support!
