    Got my date, May 9th

Extremely excited and nervous as hell! Anyone else have the same surgery date as myself or around that date? Let's connect? I'm in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia

That nutrition will slow your recovery. Get some protein shakes, they have them at Walmart, Get something with less than 5 grams of sugar. Premier is the best you are going to find at walmart. Get vitamins, any vitamin that is not a gummy. You can't get vitamins as a script from your Dr? Where did you have surgery? Have you been to any follow up visits? Why can't you have protein shakes? Stop eating mashed potatoes, they have zero nutiritonal value. Apple sauce is just sugar. The cottage cheese is a good choice.

    Anyone with Humana?

I just called Humana to see if they received it and the woman said No. I needed this submitted before they change the requirements for the surgery on 5/1 which is Monday. I dont want to seem like I'm bothering my surgeon's office but when I asked she said she was working on mine and submitting it Wednesday.

PRE-OP AND MORE SCARED THAN EVER!

I would think they would have you lose more weight to improve your sleep apnea in order to make you a safe candidate for the surgery. I don't think they would cancel at first just delay until you get the issue better controlled. I remember when I had to lose weight pre- op I put myself in a "zone" of controlled thinking about no carbs, protein & protein drinks. I was able to lose the needed weight to be approved. Good luck to you.

Anxiety about my surgery on 4/24

I'm 20 day's out and every day something changes. You learn what you shouldn't do, you try something you shouldn't try and regret it, you get back to being a little bit more normal, you feel a little bit better about your self. So far I can say at least for me that the first week was the toughest.

Anxiety about my surgery on 4/24

Had surgery last Tuesday and was over 300lbs. Went home on Thursday and have had no painkillers, pain or issues healing since then. Best decision I've made after marrying my hubby and be prepared for a day or so of feeling bad but IT WILL IMPROVE. good luck Sent from my HTC One M9 using BariatricPal mobile app

    BIG MISTAKE

I watched one. I thought it was cool. Told my surgeon that I wished that I can watch.
