Lost desire to drink [emoji97] water
Ok, luckily today was my scheduled 2-wk post- op appointment with surgeon. I described exactly what I posted about the water. He said that's very common. He said that water hits the stomach hard. He suggested I try non-sweet tea! Bam. I just had a small glass of iced tea and I'm tolerating that perfectly.

Lost desire to drink [emoji97] water
Sleeved exactly 2 weeks ago, May 9th, 2017. I was a model patient drinking at least 64 oz each day. Now, all of a sudden, it's uncomfortable to drink water. Every sip is unwanted. Hard to put words to it, but sorta like it doesn't sit well in my stomach. Not painful, but uncomfortable. Yesterday, I didn't even finish 21 ozs. I have no desire today to drink. I know that's bad, know I have to force it down. Am I alone with this? Any suggestions?

Stopped losing after the first week ....
I lost 20 lbs during the pre-op diet, but haven't lost a single lb after that. Was sleeved on 5/9, today is 5/15. I know it's only been 6 days, but I'm disappointed that I haven't even dropped a pound. I'm following post-op perfectly, only protein powder, water and 2 ozs of creamy chicken soup now & then, plus a protein shake now & then. Getting 300-500 calories per day, and 50-80 grams of protein per day. What gives?

You know you lost weight when
I'm doing good. Finally able to get some of that gas out. I'm still taking pain meds throughout the day to take away the surgery soreness. But, I'm having trouble getting enough calories and protein in. Last few days, I've only totaled 300 calories or less, 30 grams protein per day. This morning, I drank 4 ozs water with 23 grams of unflavored protein powder just to get a head start on what I'm supposed to consume each day. I have no appetite, no desire to eat, which is shocking to me! I've never had that problem before, lol. How about you 'Rita48'?

1st day of meeting goals!!
I am 3 days post-op. Finding it very difficult to get water & protein in. Yesterday = 23 grams & 50 ozs water. I know that's not enough. I can feel every swallow like a bubble going down. Every sip of water returns a burp.

That's awesome! Wish I would have thought to ask my Dr - I was just sleeved on Tuesday, 5/9.

Got my date, May 9th
May 9th also! I'm getting my hospital bag packed & doing some shopping today for post-op. I also ordered vitamin patches today. I e dropped 17 lbs in the last 13 days doing the liquid pre-op diet. Feels good, but good grief I'm hungry. Or maybe I just miss eating. Either way, it's been tough these past 2 weeks. Haven't cheated at all with 1 exception: I had 2 cocktails of vodka & water last weekend-it was a really tough work day and my family was here on Friday night. I caved! Other than that, nothing but protein drinks & water. Lots of water. [emoji97]. So ready for Tuesday! Good luck May sleevers! Let's kill this!

Help with protein!
Thank you so much for these suggestions & ideas! I'm soaking up all this info - being sleeved on Tuesday 5/9. I've just added refried beans, ricotta & pasta sauce to my grocery list. I can't wait to eat again! I've been on the liquid pre-op diet for 2 weeks now & I miss savory, I miss food. I've been completely compliant with the liquid diet- only clear broths, 3 premier protein drinks & lots of water. I won't lie, every day is challenging. Dropped 16 lbs pre-surgery tho. Yayy! Really looking forward to when I can eat those refried beans!
