It's the food addiction many of us suffer. If you changed the above references from food items to alcohol, you would have a recovering alcoholic that is starting to fall off the wagon again, right? Tell dear husband he needs help. Be that in the form of going to a local bariatric surgery group monthly, or seeing a psychologist, or self help in the form of a book. Coincidentally, there is a good book on amazon called Never Binge Again which happens to be free in kindle version for a limited time. I would pick it up and see if it can help him with his situation.

    SURGERY TOMORROW!

So my surgery is tomorrow, and I made the mistake of not asking off today. I didn't know that I had to drink a whole bottle of magnesium citrate today so today will be interesting... I'm super excited for tomorrow though!

hi all, I am moving onto soft foods and then regular foods. I had a bit of pain for about 5 minutes today after eating something too fast. Now I am really anxious about anything more than puree and hurting my pouch. Did anyone have anxiety about moving to the next step in your diet? surgery date 1/17/17

Stressed I won't lose the pre opt weight

I am down about 5 still got a week and 1/2 to go. I am trying to bump up my working out and of course I have a bad cold. Tomorrow I find out if I'm cleared to go ahead with surgery 🤞 and today I had a gauntlet of tests, this process is demanding I hope it's all worth it and get a surgery date.

One month and noticing a slow down

Are you making your protein and fluid goals? It's really important to get in the prescribed amounts of both. Many people experience a stall at the 3 week mark or so. Your body is just trying to adjust to everything that's happened to it. Keep plugging away and I'm sure it will pick back up. After a loss, my body fluctuates up and down for a few days and then I lose another couple of pounds. I definitely never lose any weight the day after a good workout. I've learned to go with the flow!

Re-read your own post. Your "friend" was always a monster. It was until when you were down and needed help that you realized what a terrible person she was, surgery was just a coincidence. I love everyone that I love so much more post-op. The issues I went through with my help to get to the point of surgery really made me value life more. When I see people posting about cheating on their spouses post-op and assorted other things it surprises me. My love for people and the world has increased 10 fold. I would never want to harm anyone or cause them pain.

    Upper GI worries

You've got a point. I described my endoscopy experience because the OP mentioned sedation and a tube in the throat. An Upper GI is just drinking some gunk and watching the X-ray screen to see how it goes down.

Chicken Caesar is good but the chewing is essential. I think it will be long term with the chewing unless we are really stretching out that hole between the stomach and intestine. I get what you means that its weird and sometimes gross, but with the salad i dont feel like it is gross. I tried a piece of breakfast sausage this morning and could barely take it after a few bites. Never again. My favorites still remain -- retried beans and lean beef chili with pinto beans and Greek yogurt. I'm okay with this after trying new things and not enjoying them at all.
