Hi Everyone,

I am 2 weeks out post-op. I have one more week on clear liquid diet then i start phase 2 (soft foods)... I must admit i am nervous about starting foods since i havent had any in over a month if you add the 2 weeks pre-op diet but i know i have to eat!!! I cant believe i actually have very little desire to eat food because prior to surgery food was constantly on my mind(lol) Well my question is which yogurt has more protein greek or yoplait??? I have never tried Greek yogurt but i do like a few favorite yoplait light yogurts. Any advice on which soft foods should i start and yogurts would be greatly appreciated. Thx for your help. Blessings!!

Greek yogurt I like the Fage Greek yogurt personally. Soft scrambled eggs, laughing cow cheeses, shredded chicken the dark meat is actually softer but use the beast if you prefer you just need to boil it longer so its real tender. Cottage cheese, oatmeal, cream of rice, mashed potatoes, (sweet or regular). Overly cooked veggies and then mash them, mashed banana. I did a lot of soups mostly veg and chicken broth. That's mostly all I did. Let me just say this if you cheat you will regret it . Lol!! Your brain will say i can eat that and then your stomach will remind you no you can't. I been there and done that. After I slimed for a while and then threw up I was back on track. Lol!! I'm sure everything will go well for you wishing you the best. Just take it slow.

Thank you so much.... I really want to be successful with this. I have lost 20lbs since Dec 28th. I dont weigh myself i dont want to be a slave to the scale because i dont want to get disappointed if i hit a stall. I plan to weigh once a week or 2 weeks. I just want the 2nd phase to be smooth sailing as much as possible... How long have u been sleeved? Continued success on your wls journey and i know i have to just take it one day at a time!! Is it ok to eat rotisserie chicken and do u remove the skin? What does Fage yogurt taste like?

Greek has more protein that regular yogurt. But check your label as many of them are full of sugar. You will want to choose the one's that are not so heavy in calories.

My favourite greek is the Yoplait Greek. Comes in a 4 pack of 4 oz. Love the coconut and the honey., Not as strong or "sour" as the chobani .
