It has been a while since I posted to my blog. I have not reached my weight loss goal of 155, but I am trying my hardest to get there. My weight loss is at 167 lbs. I had a little set back about a month ago. I started throwing up everything thing I put in my mouth even water. So eventually I went to the doctor and he thought maybe my band had slip. He took some fluid out of my band and sent me to the hospital for a freaking darn barium swallow. I was a nervous wreck, but it wasn't as bad as I
It has been a while since I posted to my blog. To this day, I have lost 100 lbs and I am down to a size 10. I never thought I would see results this fast from my lap band. I have do have lose skin, but I was told by a plastic surgeon that it is not bad. It's mostly around my abdomen area. Like I mentioned in a blog before, I have great restriction and lots of energy. I will post later to keep everyone updated on my progress.
Hello, My highest weight before surgery was 260 lbs and now I am 184. That's a total of 76 lbs in 12 months. My band is working so well with great restrictions. I do exercise at least 3 times a week. I still drink 64 oz or more of water which literally takes me ALL day to drink. I try to eat at least 3 oz protein a day but some days that is impossible. Some days I can eat other days, I just drink my food. Whey protein mix from Wal-mart is really good especially the vanilla and I just add ice an
It has been awhile since I posted. I will be celebrating my one year band anniversary on 6/26/09. I cannot believe a year has gone by so quickly. I can truly say my lap band has been my best friend. I am down to 184 lbs, a size 12 and full of E N E R G Y. My plans are to lose another 30 lbs, continue to exercise and enjoy the new me. Take Care!!!!
Since my last entry, I have lost down to 199. I fell great with lots of energy. I think the reason why is that I am getting plenty of protein in my daily intake. I fix a 40 oz fruity protein shake every morning and drink on that just about all day. I use the whey protein vanilla mix, (52 grms of protein), pineapple juice, mixed berry and ice (yummy !!!!). Protein makes a big deal in the way you feel. So make sure you get your protein in......Mia
Hope everyone is doing well with their lap band. Sorry I have not posted in a while, but you know how it is, when you lose weight you get more energy and do not have time to sit in front of the computer. But anyway, since last post, I am down to 200 lbs. from a size 20 to a 14 and 5 fills. I have met my sweet spot and boy does it feel good. I'm still not consuming any meat, bread or fruit. I just cannot handle them for some reason. Will keep you guys updated as much as pos
To all the lap banders out there. I have not posted in a while so I thought I take the time to do it today. Since my last blog, I have lost a little bit more weight. My starting weight at the beginning of this journey in June 2008, was 253 and now I am down to 212. I have some good good restrictions now. I can only eat very small portions. No breads, no meats and no fruits. Those things tend to get stuck and you know what happens when food gets stuck.. I am happy with the lap band an
Will have my 3rd fill this week. Boy, I can tell you I have had some good restrictions since the last fill 3 weeks ago. Down about 5 lbs since last fill which is good. My doctor says that I am doing great and wants me to keep up the good work. Lately, I have been craving a hot dog with everything on it but there's one problem, I can only eat about 2 bites, so its not worth it. I just stick to the more healthy stuff that is more nutritionist and healthy for me. I am still working out around
Today I went for my 2nd fill and I am down 229.8 lbs from 257 lbs (yeepee!!!) I am so HAPPY with myself and I can dance. My band is doing its part and I am doing my part my watching what I eat and exercising. Will keep you updated as my journey continues.
and I am down 23lbs. My surgeon says I am doing great. I got my first fill on on 8-13-08 and much to my amazement, it did not hurt at all. I have a realize band that holds up to 14cc's but he only gave me a fill of 3cc's. I do not fill any restrictions as of yet. I am allowed fills every 3 weeks until I reach my goal weight. After the fill, I stayed on liquids and soft foods for 2 days and back to regular foods by the 3rd day. I workout at the gym at least 3 times per week doin
Hello Bansters, it has been 17 days since being banded and I feel as though I'm not losing the weight fast enough. My doctor will not do a fill until 8/11 d/t some swelling i still have in my abdomen. Can someone give me some encouragement on how and what to eat? I am so hungry all the time and constantly, constantly think about food. I go back to work tomorrow and really not feeling that because I wanted to be a tad bit smaller than what I am. My pre op weight was 253 and now I am 237. I g

Hi Guys, Can someone tell me about platelets?? I had my pre op labs done and my platelets came back a little elevated, so the surgeon wants them repeated before I have my surgery on 6/26/08. I have been worried that he will cancel my surgery. I would be devastated if my surgery was cancel especially everything I've gone through to get it approved. So I'm hoping that everything is ok. Will keep you posted
