An Apple

Hello everyone, I am 5 days post op from lap band surgery and guess what?? I just ate a small apple cut up into slices with peanut butter on it and raisins sprinkled on the top. What a good snack, but was just wondering if I over did it?? So far my stomach feels fine and full. Let me know if I moved a little too soon with eating that good ole apple!!!!!

I had to be on liquids a full 3 weeks, did your doctor say it was ok to eat thid soon? The stomach needs time to heal, I feel you are rushing it a bit to soon.Good Luck.

I just started my preop liquid diet today. But I know after the surgery I will be on clear liquids for a few days and then on liquids and mushy foods for 2-3 weeks. So you may want to call your doctor or nurse and check with them.

My dietician told me to start eating some fruits, maybe she meant soft fruits like bananas or peaches. Apples were the only fruit i had available. but i'm back to the mushy foods....:)
