Officially out of plus sizes!!! NSV

Recommended Posts

Another quick remark. In the past, I always preferred very loose clothes, flowing pants, etc. A few days ago, I was getting ready for work and had decided to wear some clothes that were a little big large but would be flowy, etc. like I used to prefer. I thought I looked ridiculous. I chucked it all and started over with clothes that fit. Also, big clothes make you look bigger. Too bad I didn't realize that when I was trying to disguise my body in the past.

Hi Shangefan,

I know what you mean. As I clear out my closet of all the 26_GONE, 24_GONE and yesterday 22_GONE, it hits me that as I get in more common sizes I will have a much greater selection of clothes to buy from.

Have you thought about what your style is going to be? In the plus sizes, we have had to take what they had that fit even if it really wasn't "me".

When the extra weight is gone(Next Fall:smile:), I plan to have a wardrobe that I love wearing and reflects my certain style.

So part of my journey in the next 9 months is to rediscover myself. What do you think?

Good Journey,

MaggieGT

Maggie that is great thinking. It has crossed my mind too. I wanna try all sorts of differnt styles. Not baggy clothes but tailored. No more scrounging around to find Cheap clothes. I bought cheap stuff because I didn't know when I would stop gaining and haveing to buy new clothes again. I want to be able to find that "perfect" pair of jeans. I want to be able to wear the tops that biker ladies wear when I am riding our motorcycle. Shorts, I haven't worn them in probly 6,7 years. Shoes that fit right. My feet measure size six but I have to wear an eight because they are so fat.

Congrats to hollie and Jfc.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
